A spaceship has been sighted in this area. It sounds like a formidable vessel.
— Daroach, inKirby Mass Attack

Mothership[Japanese title] is amid-boss inKirby Mass Attack, found inVolcano Valley - Stage 10. It is a giant purple flying saucer constructed and piloted by theSpace Oohroos. To combat it, theKirbys have to build their own ship using blueprints from the Space Oohroo laboratory.

The Mothership attacks by opening one or more of its three hatches to reveal laser turrets or reflector umbrellas. The Kirbys have to fire at the turrets and destroy them to do damage to the ship, as any turrets left out too long will fire on the Kirbys' ship instead. The fight goes through three phases before the ship is destroyed.

Unlike other enemies, the Mothership’s name is not shown in the Japanese roll call of the game.
