Moon Base

Moon Base is the sixth stage (first extra stage) ofSpace Land inKirby's Epic Yarn andKirby's Extra Epic Yarn, unlocked by defeatingMeta Knight with enough beads to earn theSatellite Patch. This stage is an extendedTankbot challenge in a low-gravity setting. Clearing this stage grants theShooting Star Patch, which is used to unlockOuter Rings.
Patch animation[edit]
Tossing the patch causes a satellite to appear around the moon wrapped in yarn. The satellite then starts siphoning the yarn away from the moon and wrapping it around itself. Once this is finished, the satellite starts orbiting the moon as the door opens.
Overview[edit]
This stage takes place inside a long hallway through a futuristic base and briefly out on the moon's surface. Kirby makes use of theTankbotMetamortex to battle all of the enemies and obstacles that are present in this stage while collecting thebeads in the air. The low gravity present on this stage allows the Tankbot to fly higher than usual in order to collect certain objects near the ceiling and to get over gaps and steps. Along the way, Kirby will need to contend with a number of roadblocks and deal with theGate Cores in order to progress further. After passing through theReel Gate at the end of the line, this stage can be cleared.
