Meta Melon Isle

Meta Melon Isle is the sixth stage and the first extra stage ofDream Land inKirby's Epic Yarn andKirby's Extra Epic Yarn, unlocked by defeatingYin-Yarn with enoughbeads to earn theBaseball Bat Patch. This stage is a gauntlet of five consecutiveMetamortextransformations. Completing this stage grants theGalaxia Sword Patch, used to unlockBattleship Halberd.
Patch animation[edit]
Upon throwing the patch, aYarn Waddle Dee appears with a giant baseball bat, and swipes it at the watermelon. This causes the watermelon to split in half, with the upper half turning into water. From here, the Waddle Dee jumps on the melon, then slides off, causing it to spin over so the water half aligns with the water in the background. At this point, some palm trees sprout on the melon and the door opens.
Overview[edit]
This stage takes place in a tropical setting. Here, Kirby will need to use five differentMetamortex transformations in succession to clear the stage. They are, in order of appearance:
Each section is designed to testKirby's skill using that particular Metamortex. With the exception of the Train section, each one has many hazards to overcome. Once the last section is cleared, Kirby is placed at theBonus Bell to complete the stage.
InDevilish Mode, a certainDevil will attack Kirby in different sections. In the Off-Roader and Train sections,Me-Devil will attack. In the Dolphin section,We-Devil will attack. In the Fire Engine and Spin Boarder sections,Ye-Devil will attack.

Trivia[edit]
- In the American English version of the games, the in-game description for this song's CD incorrectly states it as being fromKirby's Dream Land, when it is originally fromKirby's Adventure, a mistake that persists with all arrangements from previousKirby games. The British English versions correctly state it's from theKirby series instead. This may be due to the Japanese name forKirby's Dream Land,Hoshi no Kirby, also being the name of the series as a whole.
- During the Train section of this stage, Kirby can uncover beads that make the shapes of actual constellations, such as Orion and the Big Dipper.
- Aside fromYin-Yarn's stage, this is the only stage inKirby's Extra Epic Yarn that features more than one type ofDevil inDevilish Mode.
