Merman Statue[Japanese title] is an enemy and obstacle which can be found inKirby's Return to Dream Land, inOnion Ocean - Stage 3, ahead of theGiant Flotzo. It shuffles from left-to-right, then stops and opens its mouth briefly to reveal its weak point; a wooden barrel with a star on it. However, Kirby can only exploit this weakness using theMonster Flame ability, which will destroy the barrel if exposed and then cause the statue to crumble. Destroyed statues will dropPoint Stars and possiblyfood items.
