Machine PlanetMekkai (known asMecheye in the original version) is one of the planets whichKirby can visit inMilky Way Wishes, inKirby Super Star andKirby Super Star Ultra. It is a planet completely built over with machinery similar to that of theHalberd, and hasHeavy Lobster as itsBoss. Mekkai is home to twoCopy Essences Deluxe. These arePlasma andYo-yo.

Overview[edit]

The stage begins as Kirby flies past several metal pillars to crash into a small room with a door inside.

Through the door, Kirby finds himself in an open area and must bound across elevated platforms over a large abyss. Halfway through, he will need to use somerotating cannons to blast through a barricade that stretches all the way up from the chasm. Further right, the door can be accessed after breaking aBomb Block causing many recovery items to plummet, save for anInvincible Candy.

The next area is a closed-off region, with two paths leading to the right. The lower path is riddled withspike pits and other hazards, though this is no problem if Kirby is still invincible from earlier. The upper path is split into smaller chambers, with one bearing a strong breeze, making it difficult to access the door up above, though this door is optional. To the right, the path splits into several small ducts withswitches andgates inset. Kirby will need to pass through these gates to reach the door on the other side.

In the last area, Kirby can use anelevator to access several different rooms, most of which holdmid-bosses, making this area similar to aTower of Mid-Bosses. Most of these fights are optional, butBonkers guards the door that leads to the boss.

Boss: Heavy Lobster[edit]

Heavy Lobster serves as the boss of this stage. InKirby Super Star, the fight is identical to his battle inRevenge of Meta Knight. InKirby Super Star Ultra, Heavy Lobster sports a silver color and increased health, with the background also having been changed into a factory creating more Heavy Lobsters. Just like before, Heavy Lobster can be blinded using thePaint ability. Defeating Heavy Lobster clears the stage.
