| “ | We've all got a job to do, and Mega Grindarr's job is to drop down on you. It weighs 10 times more than typical Grindarr, so it makes quite an impact. But that's what it signed up for, so it just grins and bears it. | ” | — Figurine description ofMega Grindarr fromKirby and the Rainbow Curse
|
Mega Grindarr is anenemy which debuted inKirby Mass Attack. It is amuch larger variant ofGrindarr that sticks out its tongue as it falls. Mega Grindarr appears only once in each of the games in which it is found, and despite its similarity to standard Grindarrs, it doesn't actually end up posing much of a threat toKirby, as it is not typically in a position to crush him. Instead, Mega Grindarr is either used as a stage prop, or Kirby rides on top of it.
Game appearances[edit]
Kirby Mass Attack[edit]
Mega Grindarr makes its debut appearance inKirby Mass Attack inthe tenth stage ofSandy Canyon. It appears at the beginning of the stage, partially buried in sand, and blocking the way forward. The Kirbys tug at a pull ring to pry Mega Grindarr out of the sand, but in doing so, the entire structure that the Kirbys were situated in starts to sink into the sand. The rest of the stage involves the Kirbys rushing to escape the sinking tower before they are swallowed up with it.
