This article is about the penguin-like enemy found inKirby's Dream Land 2, and should not be confused with the similar-lookingPengy from several other Kirby games.

Master Pengy is an enemy exclusive toKirby's Dream Land 2, which provides theIceCopy Ability when swallowed. It takes the role ofPengy in that game and acts the same way, though their appearances are somewhat distant, with Master Pengy having what appears to be either conjoined eyes or a "mask" separate from its belly as well as a noticeably smaller beak.

Master Pengy appears only inKirby's Dream Land 2. It's a somewhat uncommon enemy that, predictably, mostly appears inIceberg; outside of that, it mostly appears in rooms with other Copy Ability-granting enemies. Like Pengy inKirby's Adventure, it slides around on its belly and breathes a cone of ice.

Kirby's Block Ball[edit]

Master Pengy has unused sprites inKirby's Block Ball.^[1] Despite this, recolored artwork of Pengy fromKirby's Adventure still appears in the instruction booklet.^[2]20th Anniversary Kirby Pupupu Encyclopedia lists "Pengy" as appearing inKirby's Block Ball, while the laterKirby Character Encyclopedia lists neither Pengy nor Master Pengy as appearing, so it is unclear if this was meant to be Master Pengy.
