This article is about Master Hand and Crazy Hand. For the mid-boss appearance of Master Hand, seeMaster Hand.

Master Hand & Crazy Hand are a pair of bosses that appear inKirby & The Amazing Mirror, at the end ofCandy Constellation. They are a pair of giant floating disembodied gloves that can perform various physical and magical attacks, either individually or in tandem.Master Hand also appears on his own as amid-boss in the same game, though functions somewhat differently than when paired with Crazy Hand. Both of these enemies originate from theSuper Smash Bros. series, and many of their attacks are carried over from those games. Master Hand is the right hand, and Crazy Hand is the left.

Kirby & The Amazing Mirror[edit]

InKirby & The Amazing Mirror, Master Hand and Crazy Hand are fought together as a boss inCandy Constellation.

Master Hand retains his attacks from hismid-boss appearance, and with Crazy Hand, he also has the new move of the hands giving a high-five slowly in the center of the stage, bearing a resemblance to the "clap" move inSuper Smash Bros. Melee. In addition, the hands retain the combo move of Master Hand punching Crazy Hand's palm. Like many other duo bosses, Master Hand & Crazy Hand have separate HP, and are defeated separately. Once one is defeated, duo attacks are no longer possible.

Attacks[edit]

Master Hand & Crazy Hand taking matters into their own hands.

The following are Master Hand & Crazy Hand's attacks. Note that attack names are conjectural:

Master Hand & Crazy Hand's attacks
AttackDescription
Clap
Master Hand & Crazy Hand open their palms and drift to the same elevation as one-another. After taking some time to aim for Kirby, they come crashing together, making a noise on impact. This creates two drop stars in the air above and below the hands.
This attack requires both hands.
Dual Punch
Both hands form fists, reposition, then shoot horizontally across the screen toward each-other. They stop upon colliding with each-other, producing stars on impact.
This attack requires both hands.
Finger Gun
One of the hands forms a "gun" shape with the middle and index fingers pointed out, and fires a flaming projectile straight forward. This attack may be repeated up to three times. The projectile can be inhaled and swallowed for theBurning ability.
Master Hand always shoots from the right, while Crazy Hand always shoots from the left.
Grab
One hand homes in on Kirby with an open grip, then attempts to clutch. If he grabs Kirby, he will hold him tight while floating toward the middle of the arena, then pound the ground with Kirby inside, dealing him damage and tossing him away.
Pound
One hand positions above Kirby, then tries to squish him in a fist, tensing up as he falls. The landing creates two drop stars on each side. This attack may be performed multiple times in succession.
The drop stars can be swallowed for theStone ability.
Punch
One of the hands forms a fist, then shoots horizontally across the screen after aiming toward Kirby. If the other hand is on the flight path, the punching hand will stop upon hitting the other, creating two drop stars in the process.
Master Hand always punches from the right, while Crazy Hand always punches from the left.
Triple Clap
Master Hand & Crazy Hand open their palms and drift to the same elevation as one-another. After a moment, they come crashing together, making a noise on impact. This creates two drop stars in the air above and below the hands. This attack is performed three times in succession, each at a different elevation.
This attack requires both hands.

Kirby: Planet Robobot[edit]

InKirby: Planet Robobot, both Master Hand and Crazy Hand appear asstickers. Master Hand is common-type sticker, while Crazy Hand is rare one, and can only be found inAccess Ark - Stage 7 EX.

Kirby's Dream Buffet[edit]

Master Hand & Crazy Hand appear inKirby's Dream Buffet asCharacter Treats. The floating hands that appear in the actual game are not them, but instead theServer Hands.

Super Smash Bros. series[edit]

Super Smash Bros.[edit]

Kirby battling Master Hand inSuper Smash Bros.

Master Hand debuts in this game. In each game, he is the final boss of the "Classic" single-player mode. He is the only character faced in the single-player mode whose health is measured in a decreasing amount of HP, as opposed to the accumulating-percentage system used elsewhere in the game.

Super Smash Bros. Melee[edit]

Master Hand reappears inSuper Smash Bros. Melee, fought at the end of Classic mode.

This game is also Crazy Hand's debut. Crazy Hand is fought when Classic Mode is completed on Normal difficulty or higher in 18 minutes or less and he only appears whenMaster Hand's health is reduced by half. Additionally, the two of them both appear in the 50th event match:Final Destination Match.

Super Smash Bros. Brawl[edit]

Master Hand and Crazy Hand appears once again inSuper Smash Bros. Brawl. Master Hand is once again fought after completing single-player mode. Crazy Hand is fought under slightly harder conditions. The player must clear Classic Mode in nine minutes or less on Hard difficulty or harder but this time, he is fought at the beginning of the fight along withMaster Hand. He also appears as a boss onBoss Battles Mode.

Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS / Wii U[edit]

Master Hand reappears in the Classic Mode. If the Intensity is 3.0 and higher for both versions, Crazy Hand will join Master Hand as usual.

In the Wii U version, there is a separate mode called Crazy Orders, where the player clears a series of challenges in a row. Once the player is ready, Crazy Hand is faced at the end, along with other opponents depending on how many rounds were cleared beforehand.

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate[edit]

Master Hand and Crazy Hand are fought several times as a separate bosses (mainly inWorld of Light), but appear alongside once. In World of Light, Master Hand is primarily under the control ofGaleem, which is mirrored with Crazy Hand's enslavement byDharkon. The fighters can free the real Hands in the final part of the story mode, who then work to create a rift to the true final battle. Defeating them also grants the player with their respective spirit.

In Classic Mode, they are the final opponents for most fighters. In most cases, Master Hand and Crazy Hand are only fought together if the player reaches the final stage with an Intensity of 7.0 or higher, but a few fighters face both Hands regardless of Intensity.

Super Smash Bros. (04/99)
The Master Hand awaits anyone who survives the long difficult road to the Final Destination. This symbolic link between the real world and the imaginary battlefields of Super Smash Bros. Melee is quite a handful in battle, and just because he wears a white glove doesn't mean he fights clean. Get ready to get flicked, swatted, punched, and poked like crazy!
Crazy Hand
Super Smash Bros. Melee (12/01)
Where the Master Hand loves to create, his alter ego is impulsive and destructive, consumed with that hollow feeling which comes from destroying your own creations. The Crazy Hand appears when a player clears obstacles quickly and the Master Hand's power is low. You have only one chance to defeat the Crazy Hand.

A being tied to the link between this world, where trophies fight, and the world beyond. The meaning of his existence is unknown, as are his goals, but he seems to have obtained (and kept hidden) a power that borders on absolute. He also seems to feel a certain joy in challenging chosen warriors who've claimed many victories. He waits even now in Final Destination.

Seemingly a manifestation of the destructive spirit in direct contrast to Master Hand, who is the manifestation of the creative spirit. Crazy Hand appears out of nowhere when Master Hand's power begins to ebb. His repeated attacks evoke the bizarre. Those who must face Master Hand and Crazy Hand at the same time face a long and painful battle to the death.
