This article is about Master Hand as a mid-boss. For Master Hand and Crazy Hand as a boss, seeMaster Hand & Crazy Hand.

Master Hand is amid-boss inKirby & The Amazing Mirror, originally a boss from theSuper Smash Bros. series of games. He appears as a large disembodied white glove, capable of performing physical and magical attacks which are mostly lifted from his appearances in his home series. When defeated, Master Hand providesKirby with theSmashability ifinhaled and swallowed.

Master Hand has several moves from his appearance in theSuper Smash Bros. series, including finger bullets, grabbing, sweeping, and swiping. There are a handful of differences, however. One example is that his "bullets" are made of fire and are considerably slower than in the actual Smash games. If Kirby inhales one of these, he will get theBurning ability. Another difference is his throw after he grabs Kirby. Instead of throwing him downwards or sideways like he does inSuper Smash Bros. Melee, he smashes his fist to the ground.

Locations[edit]

Master Hand may be found as a mid-boss in the following rooms:

Other appearances[edit]

Master Hand also appears as aStone sculpture inKirby: Planet Robobot and as asticker in that game. He also appears as aCharacter Treat inKirby's Dream Buffet (the hands that appear in gameplay are theServer Hands, not Master Hand & Crazy Hand).

Trivia[edit]

  • The glove that appears in theGame Over menu is referred internally in the data as "Master Hand" ever sinceKirby's Return to Dream Land. However, this glove has never been named outside of the internal data. The Server Hands inKirby's Dream Buffet are also both named "Master Hand" internally.
