Makiko Ohmoto (大本眞基子Ōmoto Makiko, born February 1, 1973) is a Japanese voice actress, and the main and currentvoice of Kirby. She first voiced him inSuper Smash Bros., and made her debut in theKirby series withKirby 64: The Crystal Shards. Her name is also written asMakiko Oomoto (inKirby: Right Back at Ya!) andMakiko Omoto (inKirby Air Riders).

In addition to Kirby, she has voiced a few other characters as well alongside him throughout theKirby series.

Kirby series[edit]

At theKirby 25th Anniversary Orchestra Concert, Makiko Ohmoto demonstratedKirby's voice live, and also performed a conversation betweenQueen Sectonia andSusie.[2] She also sang the first verse of "The Noble Haltmann," the anthem ofHaltmann Works Company. For a promotional video forKirby Battle Royale, she performed the voice of Susie alongside Ayaka Saito asBandana Waddle Dee.[3] For theKirby 30th Anniversary Music Festival, she gave an interview, performed the voices of Kirby, Queen Sectonia, and Susie, and sang "Green Tree Memories from Kirby" and "Welcome to the New World!" (the latter as a duet withNEICHEL). She was also the narrator in Japanese for theIt's Kirby Time video adaptations.
