TheLove-Love Stick is theLast Battle Ability ofKirby's Dream Land 3. It is required to defeatDark Matter, and subsequentlyZero at the end of the game.

Role inKirby's Dream Land 3[edit]

The Love-Love Stick is wielded in much the same way as theStar Rod fromKirby's Adventure. Kirby can fly quickly about in the air while holding it, and will fire a heart-shaped projectile forward when he swings it. The heart projectiles deal 32 damage. The swing itself can also do damage and destroy projectiles used by Dark Matter and Zero.

To obtain the Love-Love Stick, Kirby and hisAnimal Friends must collect everyHeart Star in the world, and then defeatKing Dedede at the end of theIceberg area. Done correctly, Kirby can gain access to theHyper Zone, where the Heart Stars will merge into the Stick, which Kirby then grabs to be whisked away to the final encounter withDark Matter. In the heart of the beast, Kirby must first use the Love-Love Stick to dispel an incarnation of Dark Matter, then fight its core, a large eyeball-like creature calledZero. Defeating both of these menaces will finally freePop Star of the dark influence, and restore the planetary rings.

Other appearances[edit]

The Love-Love Stick is also wielded by Kirby in the Super Famicom version ofKirby's Star Stacker. He uses it to beat his opponent over the head, causing their puzzle board to add another layer of blocks.

InKirby: Triple Deluxe, the Love-Love Stick appears as a rareKeychain that's found inLollipop Land - Stage 3.
