| “ | But Fluff was interrupted when they were attacked by a huge, three-eyed blob of yarn! | ” | — Cutscenenarration ofLickeur fromKirby's Epic Yarn |
Lickeur is a large purple blob creature made of yarn which appears only in a cutscene inKirby's Epic Yarn andKirby's Extra Epic Yarn. It is a rather large purple blob monster with three eyes, yellow spots along its back, and no limbs. It attacks by lapping up its target with its tongue (hence the name), though this does not seem to actually hurt the target. Prince Fluff is attacked in this way in the cutscene that plays after completingPatch Castle for the first time. Lickeur is defeated byKirby who uses theWeight transformation to crush the blob. It then relinquishes the first piece ofMagic Yarn, which the two intrepid heroes use to gain access toGrass Land.
Lickeur's name was not known untilKirby's Extra Epic Yarn, where its likeness appears as one of the collectableFuse Bead Mats.
Trivia[edit]
- Lickeur is the only enemy in the game who cannot be found or fought during actual gameplay. It is also the only non-boss entity that yields a piece of Magic Yarn when defeated.
