"Let Me Explain Everything" is a cutscene theme fromKirby's Return to Dream Land that plays during the eponymous cutscene. It was composed byHirokazu Ando.[1]

Composition[edit]

Magolor explains everything.

As implied by its role, "Let Me Explain Everything" has a diverse structure and is made up of different motifs. It starts with a slowed down iteration of "The Adventure Begins" in C major played by the vibraphone, together with a peaceful piano backing. Following a descending harp glissando andMagolor's appearance, a particular minor version of "Four Adventurers: Cookie Country" plays in the strings, immediately succeeded by a bassoon's minor "Magolor, the Far-Flung Traveler". This repeats louder with different instruments. A tense chromatic and gradually slowing build-up continues during Magolor's transformation. Once he transforms into hisnew form, "Limitless Power" starts playing. Its first two sections play fully during his explanations, and the third section fades out when he teleports away. A suspense follows, and then a timpani solo representingLandia's footsteps. This accelerates, and the theme from "Halcandra: A New Enemy" plays in G major. It modulates to A major as the cutscene takes a decisive turn, and "Kirby's Triumphant Return" concludes the cutscene, leading into the story's final stretch.

Kirby's Return to Dream Land[edit]

InKirby's Return to Dream Land and its remake, "Let Me Explain Everything" plays during the cutscene with the same name. A major version of it also makes up a large portion of "Return to Dream Land".

"Magolor's Tome Trackers - Title (Secret Song)" by Yuki Shimooka.

Besides reprising its role from the original game, inKirby's Return to Dream Land Deluxe, a C major arrangement of "Let Me Explain Everything" is used as the title theme for theSub-GameMagolor's Tome Trackers. It is titled"Magolor's Tome Trackers - Title" and is composed byYuki Shimooka[1]. If all main missions for Magolor's Tome Trackers are completed, the secret version of the song can be selected to play, which changes it to a chiptune-styled arrangement also composed by Yuki Shimooka.

Additionally, a short portion of "Let Me Explain Everything" appears in "The Merry, Magical World of Magolor!" as "Magolor's Tome Trackers - Title" along with the rest of the Sub-Games' themes, as well as in the "Return to Dream Land" section of the track. It can be found in the Jukebox as track 200 after clearing 100 Magoland Missions. It is also composed byYuki Shimooka[1].

"Let Me Explain Everything" in "Last Battle" from theKirby Wii Music Selection.

Though not featured on the album proper, an arrangement of "Let Me Explain Everything" very similar to the original is featured as part of the songボーナストラック:サイゴノタタカイ (Bonus Track: Last Battle) on theKirby Wii Music Selection CD, making up a medley alongside "Fly, Kirby!", "Welcome Your New Overlord", and "C-R-O-W-N-E-D". This version of the theme is in a higher key and skips the "The Adventure Begins" intro, and then transitions into "Fly, Kirby!" where the original song enters its "Limitless Power" segment.
