The boss of this island is said to be the queen of this desert. She's known as Lady Ivy. Like all beauties, she's got a thorny side! So you mustn't touch her directly. Instead, bonk her on the head with something. I imagine the seesaw over her head might work. She's a crafty one, though. If she snakes her tail onto the seesaw, attack it at once!
— Daroach inKirby Mass Attack

Lady Ivy is aboss fromKirby Mass Attack. She serves as the boss ofSandy Canyon, and is fought again inNecro Nebula andSurvival Rush. Lady Ivy is a tangled vine creature with a purple circular head on a stalk wearing a stylish hat. She has a passing resemblance toSnoozroot (and shares a similar name with it in the Japanese version), but does not behave in the same manner.

Battle[edit]

The Kirbys do battle with Lady Ivy on a metal see-saw overhanging a pit of thorned vines. Lady Ivy attacks by ramming her head into one side of the see-saw to try and throw the Kirbys off. This move, however, will leave her dazed for a short time, allowing the Kirbys to strike by weighing down the see-saw such that it crashes onto her head.

As the fight progresses, Lady Ivy will attempt to hold down the see-saw with one of her viny appendages, and will also shoot seed projectiles that fall from the sky. The Kirbys will have to attack the former and dodge the latter in order to stay in the fight. Lady Ivy will also occasionally causeStactus to appear on the see-saw, which the Kirbys will have to deal with.
