Kirby Star Allies: The Original Soundtrack

Kirby Star Allies: The Original Soundtrack (stylized in all caps asKIRBY STAR ALLIES: THE ORIGINAL SOUNDTRACK) is an official soundtrack album featuring all 233 music tracks and other arrangements fromKirby Star Allies. The physical edition consists of six discs and was released on February 14th, 2019 exclusively in Japan.
Releases[edit]
The soundtrack was initially available in two different versions: the "First Time Limited Edition" (初回限定生産盤) and the "Regular Edition" (通常盤). As implied by the name, the First Time Limited Edition was only available around the time the soundtrack released, and isn't available for purchase anymore, while the Regular Edition is still on sale.
The Regular Edition is priced 6,600 yen (tax included) and comes with six discs with the music ofKirby Star Allies, including songs added from the free updates, and a 40-page booklet with a track list, as well as a round-table discussion with the music staff.
The First Time Limited Edition was priced 9,350 yen (tax included) and came with all content of the Regular Edition, plus an additional Playbutton album calledKirby Arrange Selection, containing eight tracks not found in the game proper, many of which are arrangements from previous soundtracks and/orKirby games.
On a first-come first-served basis, orders directly placed via theKirby Portal shop (for either edition) included printed versions of some of theCelebration Pictures, with sketch concept art of them on the reverse side. Also included with early printings was an advertisement forKirby's Extra Epic Yarn, whose release in Japan was imminent at the time of the soundtrack's release.
TheKirby Star Allies soundtrack was later given a worldwide digital release on October 30th, 2024, as part of the initial launch lineup ofNintendo Music. This release contains an official English translation, with some titles differing between American English and British English to account for regional title differences. However, it excludes the 20 soundscape tracks available in the in-game Jukebox and the album release, reducing the total track count to 213. Additionally, most songs that loop in-game can be extended on the app, as is standard with Nintendo Music releases.
Track list[edit]
The following tables list each track on the discs, with notes on where each music track plays in-game. The majority of the following names are taken from the American English Nintendo Music release of theKirby Star Allies soundtrack; tracks marked with asterisks (*) are not on Nintendo Music, so they use conjectural translations.
The audio on the soundtrack is mostly unmodified from the in-gameJukebox, other than being ordered differently and edited to fade out. However, some songs are slightly different:
- All of the tracks fromKirby's Dream Land were re-recorded for the soundtrack.
- "Chop Champs" and "Suite: The Star-Conquering Traveler (Movement 4: The Birth of Hope)" use their pre-2.0.0 versions on the soundtrack.
- "Staff" fromKirby 64: The Crystal Shards loops in-game, but uses its original ending on the soundtrack.
- "One of the Miracles" fromKirby: Triple Deluxe and "Title Screen" fromKirby's Dream Land 2 loop in-game, but do not on the soundtrack, matching with the original source material.
- "Where Even Light Does Not Reach" has a different loop point on the soundtrack compared to how it loops in-game.
- As a result, "Far-Flung Journey's End" (which consists of "Far-Flung Starlight Heroes" and "Where Even Light Does Not Reach" layered on top of each other) begins to desync when it loops. This appears to have been corrected for the Nintendo Music release.
- The "Interdimensional Fanfare" fromKirby's Return to Dream Land abruptly cuts off after 3 seconds in-game. On the soundtrack, the track plays for its full duration, just like in the other games this track appears in.
The booklet included with the box set denotes the composer for each track with a shape; triangle (▲) forJun Ishikawa, circle (●) forHirokazu Ando, and square (■) forYuuta Ogasawara.

Trivia[edit]
- On February 20th, 2019, it was revealed that there was an error in the track list names. Specifically, track 4-27 was misnamed "Grass Land: Stage Select" when it was actually "Ripple Field: Stage Select".[1] Replacement obi and booklets were offered, along with an apology letter.[2]
- Nintendo Music's English translation of the soundtrack initially listed "Sub-Tree Area" as "Underground Tree Area". This was changed, to properly match the name used inKirby Super Star, on September 18th, 2025.[3]
