This article lists the changes of each update forKirby Star Allies.

Version 1.1.0[edit]

This update is possibly pre-installed in factory for cartridges and functions the same as Version 1.1.1 for digital releases.

• Selecting Chinese (Traditional), Chinese (Simplified), or Korean in the Nintendo Switch language settings will now cause text to display properly in those languages.

• Enemies which can be made intoFriends were tweaked to take longer to vanish after being defeated, thus giving Kirby more time torecruit them if he wants.^[3]
• Void Soul's time spent waiting between attacks has decreased from 100 frames to 75 frames.
• Void Soul's rate of defense increase as the battle progresses is increased from 120 to 140.
• Void Soul no longer waits after the first use of Shooter Cutter and before the first use of Sprint in its attack cycle.

• Marx'sFriend Ability Movie is correctly displayed as "Blizzard/Bluster/Sizzle/Splash/Zap Marx" now instead of "Bomb" in Version 2.0.0.
• Whenbosses are shifting phases, their defense becomes higher than in previous versions. The "boss health bar disappear glitch" has been fixed.
• Guest Star ???? Star Allies Go! changes:
  • Now allows multiple separate games for each character saved at once.
  • Levels of previously available Friends have been upgraded and shortened by changing and/or removing several rooms.
  • Guest Star Kirby glitch has been fixed.
• Francisca, Flamberge, and Zan Paritzanne receive 60 extra HP in all Story Mode fights when no losses have been suffered.
• Void Termina's Final Core's rate of defense increase as the battle progresses has changed from 75 to 90 in Story Mode when no losses have been suffered.

Version 4.0.0[edit]

• Added the new mode,Heroes in Another Dimension, which becomes available after clearing Story Mode.
• Added four newDream Friends:Magolor,Taranza,Susie, andthe Three Mage-Sisters.

• For each battle inThe Ultimate Choice, the timer doesn't start ticking until the given boss can start being attacked in battle. In prior versions, the timer doesn't stop until the given boss is defeated.
  • Likewise, the timer pauses during the Kracko battle after his initial health bar is depleted. In prior versions, it only pauses as Kracko splits in two and after Twin Kracko is defeated.
  • Void Soul's attack order has changed slightly.
• Added newbosses, all appearing in the Soul Melter EX difficulty ofThe Ultimate Choice.

• Guest Star ???? Star Allies Go!: Levels of previously available Friends have been upgraded and shortened by changing and/or removing several rooms.
• The commands forAdeleine & Ribbon's Painter and Ado Painter attacks are now correctly displayed in the Chinese pause menu, whereas they were incorrectly displayed as ↑ + attack in Version 3.0.0.^[4]
• Hyness no longer has any voice clips when using Jam and Vun Jam during his Sacrifice Cage attack.
• Void Termina's Full Smile needles are now black instead of matching its body color.
• Francisca, Flamberge, and Zan Partizanne's splash screens have their uniquely colored border stripes replaced with the generic purple-pink stripe used in other splash screens

Version 4.0.0a[edit]

• Several adjustments have been made to improve gameplay on Nintendo Switch 2.

Note: The version number in the lower right of the software title screen is still Ver. 4.0.0. The version number displayed in the software menu on the HOME Screen will display 4.0.0a if the update is applied.
