This article is about theStadium inKirby Air Ride andKirby Air Riders. For Kirby in "Melee", seeSuper Smash Bros. Melee.

Kirby Melee is a type ofStadium inKirby Air Ride andKirby Air Riders, having a chance to appear at the end ofCity Trial on default settings. It tasks riders with defeating as many enemies as possible within a minute and a half.

Overview[edit]

Contestants are placed in an arena, where enemies spawn continuously and in great number. The objective is to defeat as many of them as possible before time runs out. To this end, several enemies which yieldCopy Abilities are available, which can make the process easier. Riders can also attack each other, and will be forced to retire if KO'd. Once time is up, the rider who defeated the most enemies is the winner.

At first glance, it might seem logical to desire a machine specifically built for combat, like the ones inDustup Derby. However, as the goal is to defeat enemies—who go down in one hit regardless—a more suitable machine might be one with good maneuverability instead.

Stadiums (Kirby Air Ride)[edit]

InKirby Air Ride, there are two Kirby Melee Stadiums. They are as follows:

InKirby Air Riders, there are two Kirby Melee Stadiums. Though the areas they take place in are largely similar to those inKirby Air Ride, more enemy types—and Copy Abilities—appear, including rarer enemies such asUFO andGemaine. Additionally, big enemies with a dark, fiery look appear as the contest progresses, and are worth 5 points when defeated.
