"Having Watched You All Along"[2] is the mainstaff credits theme for the cutscene "Kirby's Curtain Call" fromKirby Star Allies. It was composed byHirokazu Ando.[1]
Composition[edit]

"Having Watched You All Along" is a sweet and cheerful theme in G major and 4/4. It begins with a peaceful piano and guitar quotation of the second section of "Twinkle☆Stars". The percussion picks up from here, and a lively major variant of "Twinkling☆Travelers" akin to "Sudden Happy Ending" is played by a low clarinet. It is followed by an intermission based on the first section of "Friendly Field", and then this variant of "Twinkling☆Travelers" plays once again. The percussion's pace slows down, preparing a transition to the second section of "Twinkle☆Stars" (similar to its version in "Caverna's Massive Mazes" in phrasing). Violins and a flute join in a sixth above, and eventually they conclude with another, now resolving iteration of "Twinkling☆Travelers". Violins reprise the "Twinkle☆Stars" section with a gentle piano backing, now omitting "Twinkling☆Travelers".
In trueKirby fashion, the second section of "Green Greens" follows from a vibraphone. The previous instruments gradually join back. The strings pick up with an rhythmically altered iteration of the first section of "Twinkle☆Stars". Just then, the brass plays a major version of "Song of Supplication" as a violin holds a high counterpoint. Other instruments repeat the motif of "Song of Supplication" as it gradually retreats to the background, giving way to the following motif. "Twinkling☆Travelers" continues and attempts to modulate, which it eventually does to E-flat major. The second section of "Twinkle☆Stars" starts, but is cut short by the second phrase of "Kirby's Triumphant Return", which promises to return as characteristic bells play a brief transitional passage. "Kirby's Triumphant Return" and "Twinkling☆Travelers" alternate in quick succession as the music slows down and eventually ends in a E-flat major fanfare.

Etymology[edit]
The Japanese title of this theme is a reference to a quote from Kirby seen in early advertising material forKirby's Dream Land (back when the game was calledTwinkle☆Popo and Kirby was called Popopo): 「君を見ていると、ずっと昔からおともだちだった気がするよ。」 (Looking at you, I feel like we've been friends for a long time.)
