- This article is about the Battle Stage. For the music that plays here, seeHaldera Volcano (theme).
Haldera Volcano is aBattle Stage inKirby Fighters Deluxe andKirby Fighters 2. It is based onDangerous Dinner - Stage 1 fromKirby's Return to Dream Land, and features columns ofmagma that can damage fighters at regular intervals.
The stage's name is a portmanteau of "Halcandra" (or "HAL Laboratory") and "caldera", a large cauldron-like hollow that forms after a volcano's magma chamber is emptied in an eruption.
Layout[edit]
Haldera Volcano consists of a tight volcanic causeway with an uneven floor and ceiling and a singlethin floor in the middle of the stage. Interspersed are three pools of magma - one being on the ceiling - which regularly spew magma columns that break up the stage into three isolated sections. Touching this magma deals 18 damage to fighters and knocks them away.
The aesthetic of the stage is taken fromDangerous Dinner - Stage 1, fromKirby's Return to Dream Land. Aside from the difference in visual fidelity, the stage looks practically identical in appearance to its source game.
InKirby Fighters 2, it is possible to toggle on or off the hazards for this stage in regular battles. When hazards are off, no magma columns will spew, but the magma pits themselves will remain and still harm fighters.
Unlock requirements[edit]
InKirby Fighters 2, Haldera Volcano is unlocked upon attainingFighters Rank level 7. The secret song for the stage is unlocked at a Fighters Rank of 89.
Origin[edit]

- Main article:Dangerous Dinner - Stage 1
Haldera Volcano takes its setting and music fromDangerous Dinner - Stage 1 inKirby's Return to Dream Land. This stage is an active volcanic area that Kirby and his buddies must traverse as they make their way to defeatLandia who is "menacing" the land ofHalcandra. The stage is known for its tight rocky passageways and regular columns of bubbling magma that rise and fall, much as they do in the battle stage.
