Reason: Derived music from "Green Greens", returning inKirby Air Riders, see more info in talk page

"Green Greens" is among the first pieces of music composed for theKirby series, first appearing as the theme for theGreen Greens stage inKirby's Dream Land, and reappearing in many games since then. It has been arranged, re-orchestrated, and remastered several times throughout the series, including being incorporated into other themes and tracks. However, it can often also be heard in its original form in many titles, particularly as an Easter egg inHAL Rooms, or in trailers for the games.

This theme has become associated withKirby as a character, and is often paired with "Kirby's Triumphant Return".

Contents

Composition[edit]

Kirby begins hisvery first adventure in a fresh, green land.

Green Greens is a very upbeat theme that starts in the key of C major. The intro starts with a few G notes, then gets to the first portion of the song, it repeats this portion again, and then moves on to the next portion. When it gets to the second portion, it turns to C minor. It then goes through a C-D-E, D-E-F progression twice, then the very first stage theme of the series loops.

This theme is also a popular motif in other themes in theKirby series as well.

Game appearances[edit]

The following is a list of major appearances of "Green Greens". It is not an exhaustive list, as parts of certain songs may sound like the theme, but it's not always clear if it's a coincidence or a knowing nod to it.

Kirby's Dream Land[edit]

As mentioned above, the "Green Greens" theme is the stage music forGreen Greens, from which it gets its name. This original version was composed byJun Ishikawa, who has since gone on to compose much of the music for the series. It's also listed as Music 01 (Music 13 is an intro-less version) in the game'sSound Test.

Kirby's Adventure[edit]

https://wikirby.com/wiki/File:KA_Green_Greens_theme_sample.oga
"Green Greens" fromKirby's Adventure, pitched down a tone.

InKirby's Adventure, the theme reappears in the throwback stageRainbow Resort - Stage 6, though it also plays for both games'staff credits sequence. In the former, it sounds very similar to the originalKirby's Dream Land version, but pitched a step down. This track is listed as Music 03 (with its intro) and Music 04 (without its intro) in the game'sSound Test.

Kirby's Pinball Land[edit]

InKirby's Pinball Land, "Green Greens" is rearranged for thePoppy Brothers' Land stage inKirby's Pinball Land.

Kirby Super Star[edit]

A new arrangement of "Green Greens" plays in theGreen Greens stage ofSpring Breeze and can be found as Music 05 in theSound Test. On theKirby Ultra Super Deluxe Original Sound Track, it is directly titled"GREEN GREENS".

Main article:Crystal Area

"Green Greens" is the basis of the theme for theCrystal andGarden areas ofThe Great Cave Offensive. This version is notable for being the first of many "Green Greens" arrangements to feature "Kirby's Triumphant Return". On theKirby Ultra Super Deluxe Original Sound Track, it is named水晶の畑エリア (Crystal Area). It appears as Music 37 in the Sound Test.

An excerpt of "Green Greens" is featured in the latter half of "Kirby's Triumphant Return", the theme for the eponymous ending cutscene ofMilky Way Wishes. Finally, "Green Greens" appears in "Milky Way Wishes: Staff Credits". These themes are Music 55 and 65 in the Sound Test, respectively.

Kirby Tilt 'n' Tumble[edit]

An arrangement of "Green Greens" is used as the theme for the minigameKirby's Hurdle Race. It also appears as part of a medley of other tracks from the game that make up the credits theme, sounding almost identical to that version, but ending differently to transition to "Sky Courses". This medley also concludes with a reprise of "Green Greens", with some variations and a suitable resolution.

The faithful arrangement used for Kirby's Hurdle Race is listed as Music 21 in the game'sSound Room. Interestingly, the credits medley is not listed at all.

Super Smash Bros. series[edit]

https://wikirby.com/wiki/File:SSBM_Green_Greens.mp3
"Green Greens (Melee)" byHirokazu Ando, the first faithful arrangement of "Green Greens" to feature "Kirby's Triumphant Return".

Super Smash Bros. Melee[edit]

On the Green Greens stage, an orchestral version of "Green Greens" plays, which incorporates "Kirby's Triumphant Return" into it. It is arranged by Hirokazu Ando, and simply named "Green Greens". This arrangement has gone on to appear in laterSmash Bros. titles starting withfor 3DS / Wii U.

Super Smash Bros. Brawl[edit]

While the theme itself didn't get its own arrangement like inSuper Smash Bros. Melee, "Green Greens" was incorporated into the "Butter Building" and "The Legendary Air Ride Machine" arrangements.

TheKirby Air Ride arrangement reappears as one of two tracks that can play on the Green Greens stage, now named"Green Greens (Melee)".

Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS / Wii U[edit]

"Green Greens" got a brand new arrangement in this game, named"Green Greens Ver. 2". It is more dramatic and energetic sounding than itsSuper Smash Bros. Melee counterpart, and also adds various new melodic sections to the song. It is arranged by Masashi Hamauzu.

The original version fromKirby's Dream Land plays in the Green Greens section of theDream Land GB stage.

Finally, theSuper Smash Bros. Melee arrangement, still named"Green Greens (Melee)" in the North American version and simply named"Green Greens" in the European version, returns as a playable track inThe Great Cave Offensive stage. "Butter Building" and "The Legendary Air Ride Machine" return as well.

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate[edit]

While "Green Greens" didn't get a standalone arrangement in this game, much like inSuper Smash Bros. Brawl, it does appear in the new"Staff Credits - Kirby's Dream Land" arrangement, due to it featuring "Milky Way Wishes: Staff Credits" and, notably, predominantly using its "Green Greens" section.

In addition, all the tracks from previousSuper Smash Bros. games that had "Green Greens" in some form return in this game, now being able to be played in anyKirby stage, and, as of the8.1.0 update, Battlefield, Small Battlefield, Big Battlefield, and Final Destination. The only changes involve the original Green Greens fromKirby's Dream Land getting incorporated into the "Kirby Retro Medley", and the "Green Greens Ver. 2" arrangement being re-named"Green Greens (for 3DS / Wii U)".

Kirby: Nightmare in Dream Land[edit]

https://wikirby.com/wiki/File:KNiDL_Kirby%27s_Air_Grind_theme.oga
"Kirby's Air Grind" fromKirby: Nightmare in Dream Land, a unique recurring variant of the theme.

InKirby: Nightmare in Dream Land, the theme got a new rearrangement, now in its original key (unlike in the originalKirby's Adventure). New to the game, though, is an energetic arrangement of "Green Greens" that plays in theKirby's Air GrindSub-Game. Both of these arrangements are listed as Music 19 and Music 36 respectively in the game's Sound Test.

Kirby Air Ride[edit]

https://wikirby.com/wiki/File:KAR_Green_Greens_Drag_Race_theme_sample.mp3
"Stadium: Drag Race" fromKirby Air Ride byHirokazu Ando. A minor arrangement of "Green Greens".

The "Green Greens" arrangement fromKirby Super Star is reused as the alternate track for theFantasy Meadows course, named"Kirby Super Star: Spring Breeze" in-game. It can be listened to in theSound Test after finishing the Fantasy Meadows course in less than a minute in Time Attack mode.

A version of "Green Greens" very similar to the orchestral arrangement fromSuper Smash Bros. Melee, also featuring "Kirby's Triumphant Return", can be unlocked and used as the alternate track for theChecker Knights course. It is simply namedグリーングリーンズ (Green Greens) inThe Very Best of Kirby: 52 Hit Tracks, and is arranged by Hirokazu Ando.[1] Much like some of the otherAir Ride tracks, this theme also appears in certain episodes of the Japanese and Chinese versions of theanime.

Another arrangement of the theme plays when theSuper Charge event is in effect in theCity Trial mode. This arrangement, named"City Trial: Rowdy Charge Tank", is notably similar to the version that plays in Kirby's Air Grind inKirby: Nightmare in Dream Land. It is arranged by Jun Ishikawa.[1]

Finally, an arrangement of the first section of "Green Greens" plays during theDrag RaceStadium. It is called"Stadium: Drag Race", also arranged by Hirokazu Ando[1], and also appears in certain episodes of the Japanese version of the anime.

All of these tracks, in the order they're listed in on this page, can be heard as track 04, track 19, track 51, and track 57 in the game'sSound Test.

Kirby: Canvas Curse[edit]

InKirby: Canvas Curse, the "Kirby's Air Grind" arrangement fromKirby: Nightmare in Dream Land plays in the Time Trials ofRainbow Run. It is named"Classic Song 2-18" and can be found as Music 62 in the game'sSound Test.

When the "Old School" sound mode is selected, the regularKirby: Nightmare in Dream Land arrangement plays inPlant Plain,Growth Grasses, and the staff credits. This song is given the name"Classic Song 2-20", and is Music 64 in the game's Sound Test.

Kirby: Squeak Squad[edit]

https://wikirby.com/wiki/File:KSqS_Galaxy_Area.mp3
"Gamble Galaxy" fromKirby: Squeak Squad takes the main melody of "Green Greens" and develops it into a new theme.

A simple arrangement of "Green Greens" plays inNature Notch - Stage 3, at the end ofNature Notch - Stage 5, and inVocal Volcano - Stage 1. Additionally, a partial arrangement of "Green Greens" as "Gamble Galaxy" plays inGamble Galaxy - Stage 3. Both of these themes require the Spunky Notes item to be obtained before they can be listened to, and are listed as Music 15 and Music 18 respectively in the game'sSound Room.

Kirby Super Star Ultra[edit]

InKirby Super Star Ultra, all of the versions of "Green Greens" are arranged and reused fromKirby Super Star. "GREEN GREENS" itself additionally plays in theRevenge of the King stagePurple Plants. Additionally, a variant of "Green Greens" can be heard in the newly added "Heavy Lobster".

InKirby's Epic Yarn andKirby's Extra Epic Yarn, an acoustic arrangement of "Green Greens" with prominent piano typical for the game plays in the stageWhispy's Forest. Much like theSuper Smash Bros. Melee andKirby Air Ride versions, this variant incorporates "Kirby's Triumphant Return" after the second loop. Its name is"Green Greens: Epic Yarn"[2] (or simply "Green Greens" in-game). It was arranged by Hirokazu Ando, and can be found as track 39 in theTunes.[3]

Kirby Mass Attack[edit]

https://wikirby.com/wiki/File:KMA_Rainbow_Riches_sample.oga
"Rainbow Riches" fromKirby Mass Attack byShogo Sakai. Here the focus is shifted to the second section of "Green Greens".

Three different arrangements of "Green Greens" play in three distinct cutscenes:

  • The first, called"Rainbow Riches", plays in the cutscene that plays after gathering allRainbow Medals, and unlocking the final level of the game,Necro Nebula.
  • The second, called"Eerie Island", plays in the cutscene that shows the Kirbys heading towards Necro Nebula, and getting attacked bySkullys.
  • The third, called"Down to One", plays in the cutscene after defeatingNecrodeus, when the Kirbys use his magic staff to become one Kirby again. This version starts with "Kirby's Triumphant Return", but quickly switches to "Green Greens".

Though not numbered in the game'sMusic Player, these are the 63rd, 64th, and 66th tracks respectively in numerical order.

Kirby's Return to Dream Land[edit]

A relaxed arrangement of "Green Greens" with elements of "Exploring the Cave" and "The Adventure Begins" plays outside of theLor Starcutter onPopstar, as well as in the secretInvincible Candy room inCookie Country - Stage 2. This arrangement is titled"Green Greens (Return to Dream Land)" in American English and"Green Greens (Kirby's Adventure Wii)" in British English, and was arranged by Hirokazu Ando.[4]

A different arrangement of "Green Greens", very similar to theKirby Super Star arrangement, even with a strikingly similar soundfont, plays in theItem Challenge and in the game'sHAL Rooms. It was arranged by the original composer, Jun Ishikawa.[1]

Small segments of the theme are incorporated into the theme forSuper Abilities, "Bring On the Super Ability", specifically at around 0:25 and 0:36.

"C-R-O-W-N-E-D", the battle theme ofMagolor's second form andMagolor Soul, features "Green Greens" at its very end, being followed by a section of "Kirby's Triumphant Return".

"Return to Dream Land", the ending theme of the Main and Extra modes, also features "Green Greens" at the final section.

"Gourmet Race to Green Greens: Chamber Music" fromKirby's Dream Collection Special Edition, a chamber performance.

The original version fromKirby's Dream Land is reused in theHAL Room that exists in theNormal Challenge of Last Land in theNew Challenge Stages mode. TheKirby's Epic Yarn arrangement also has a chance of playing there instead. In addition, the Drag Race arrangement also has a chance of playing in theSmash Combat Chamber of the same level. Finally, in the North American version of the game, the player can choose to hear an orchestral medley of "Gourmet Race" and "Green Greens" at the final stop (representing the year 2012) of theKirby's History mode.

In the Japanese version exclusively, "Green Greens (Return to Dream Land)" plays in Kirby's History when reading the samples of the three manga featured only in that version of the game. In addition, three different "Green Greens" versions are used when selecting the manga series: the original version fromKirby's Dream Land plays when theKirby of the Stars manga is selected, theKirby Super Star arrangement plays whenKirby of the Stars: The Story of Dedede Who Lives in Pupupu is selected, and theKirby: Squeak Squad arrangement plays whenthe first volume ofKirby of the Stars! Moretsu Pupupu Hour! is selected. Finally, "City Trial: Rowdy Charge Tank" plays whenKirby: Magical Tower of Medal Land is selected and is also one of the themes that can play throughout the Normal Challenge.

Kirby: Triple Deluxe[edit]

InKirby: Triple Deluxe, "Green Greens" is arranged in a fairly relaxed manner to serve as the world map theme, featuring "Kirby's Triumphant Return" at the end. This version has the same title as the original song, "Green Greens", and is arranged byHirokazu Ando.

The fanfare for collecting Sun Stones uses a short snippet of Green Greens, and the fanfare for collecting a Grand Sun Stone is a slightly extended version, at a different key.

"Mysterious Rolling Boulders from Afar", the music forFine Fields - Stage 3, includes "Green Greens" in its final section.

InDedede's Drum Dash, "Green Greens" serves as the theme of the first stage, played using the acoustic instrumentation common among the themes for thisSub-Game.

"Revenge of the Enemy", the boss revenge battle theme of the game, incorporates "Green Greens" in its second section.

The theme is also featured at the end of the theme of the last battle againstQueen Sectonia, "The World to Win".

Finally, "Green Greens" is paired with thePeanut Plains theme to serve as the alternate staff credits theme of the game, which plays in the default "Staff credits" movie in the game'sTheater.

Kirby and the Rainbow Curse[edit]

InKirby and the Rainbow Curse, the "Green Greens" theme is present in many tracks of the game:

  • The menu's theme, titled"Main Menu" in American English and"Play Mode Selection" in British English, is a simple arrangement of the theme.
  • The game's tutorial theme,"Learn the Controls!", is a very light arrangement of the theme, with the main melody being played with a flute and a guitar, and an original intro with an harp.
  • The theme that plays when viewing theSecret Diary, named"Reading the Secret Diary", is a relaxed sounding arrangement of the theme, primarily featuring a flute and guitar. It's notably very similar to the "Learn the Controls!" version.
  • Claycia's battle theme,"Battle with Claycia", features a short segment of the "Green Greens" theme near the end.
  • A fairly simple "Green Greens" arrangement can be unlocked by collecting one of theTreasure Chests found inThe Adventure Begins stage, to then be played in the game'sMusic Room.

Kirby: Planet Robobot[edit]

Main article:Re: Green Greens

An arrangement of the "Green Greens" theme, with some changes to its melodic structure, plays in sections ofPatched Plains - Stage 2 andPatched Plains - Stage 3. This version is called"Re: Green Greens" on theKirby: Planet Robobot Original Soundtrack, and was arranged by Hirokazu Ando.

An altered version of the "Green Greens" theme is used for the mid-boss theme, "Metal N. Vasion."

The fanfare for collecting Sun Stones fromKirby: Triple Deluxe is reused when unlocking the boss stage orExtra Stages.

The "City Trial: Rowdy Charge Tank" arrangement fromKirby Air Ride is reused inPatched Plains - Stage 6 EX, while its "Green Greens" arrangement is reused inAccess Ark - Stage 8 EX. Finally, the Drag Race arrangement is reused for the 2.0 mid-boss battles in the extra stages and for both Mid-Boss All Stars rounds inThe Arena.

The Item Challenge "Green Greens" arrangement fromKirby's Return to Dream Land is reused in the first level of theKirby 3D Rumble sub-game.

The battle theme forStar Dream's first phase, "VS. Star Dream", features the "Green Greens" theme just after theHavoc aboard the Halberd section and before the loop point. Initially only the opening three notes of the "Green Greens" theme feature, followed shortly after by more extensive quotations, first in a background chiptune accompaniment and then in the primary orchestral instrumentation.

TheCopy Ability Testing Area for this game also features the Dedede's Drum Dash rearrangement, which is played in the testing room for theRobobot Armor.

The fanfare for collecting a Grand Sun Stone fromKirby: Triple Deluxe is reused when clearingThe Arena.

A brief, rock arrangement of the theme is played when selecting the game icon on the Nintendo 3DS HOME Menu. It is included in the game'sJukebox as track 162 and was arranged by Jun Ishikawa.

Team Kirby Clash Deluxe[edit]

InTeam Kirby Clash Deluxe, the alternate staff credits theme fromKirby: Triple Deluxe plays in its original form in the alternate staff credits from the Options menu. The same theme is arranged in the player's Profile menu, and in the results screen after finishing a quest.

Another arrangement plays during certain cutscenes, such as the opening; the arrangement is titled"Green Stories"[5].

In addition, a section based on "Green Greens" is featured in "The Prince of Mirrors and Regret", which plays during the battle withDark Taranza. It is arranged by Hirokazu Ando.[6]

The theme is also featured as part of a medley in both of the staff credits themes, sounding mostly identical in both.

A brief, brass arrangement of the theme is played when selecting the game icon on the Nintendo 3DS HOME Menu. The theme is also used after a player clears aHeroic Mission.

Kirby's Blowout Blast[edit]

InKirby's Blowout Blast, much like in Kirby 3D Rumble inKirby: Planet Robobot, the Item Challenge Green Greens arrangement fromKirby's Return to Dream Land is reused inthe game's first level.

Kirby Battle Royale[edit]

InKirby Battle Royale, the first section of "Green Greens", paired with "Let Battle Commence!", is arranged to serve as the theme that plays in the game's Training mode. It is namedMenu 6 in the game'sMusic Collection.

Kirby Star Allies[edit]

The "Green Greens" theme makes multiple appearances inKirby Star Allies:

  • After allBig Switches are pressed (aside from the one mentioned in Extra Planet δ), a jingle plays with a short variation of "Green Greens". This jingle also plays on the menu screen at the start of a new save file after all post-launch Dream Friends have been revealed, in addition to playing after clearing the Soul Melter difficulty inThe Ultimate Choice. It is fittingly called"All Big Switches Pressed!".[7]
  • The theme of theJambandra Base andThe Divine Terminus stages,"Scarred Lands of Dreams and New Greens",[7] is a slow-paced, sinister sounding arrangement of the "Green Greens" theme, that predominantly features violins. This version is also arranged by Hirokazu Ando.
  • At the very end of Extra Planet δ, aBig Switch can be pressed to make a giant golden statue of Kirby appear in the background. As the statue rises, the player's controller (if it has HD Rumble turned on) will rumble in a way that it actually plays the first portion of "Green Greens", entirely separate from the game's audio. This does not occur if the game is played in Handheld Mode with both Joy-Con controllers attached to the system.
  • The fanfare for collecting a Grand Sun Stone fromKirby: Triple Deluxe is reused when clearing Guest Star ???? Star Allies Go!. It got a new title in this game, which is"Guest Star ???? Cleared".[7]
  • The "Green Stories" arrangement fromTeam Kirby Clash Deluxe is reused during the final results screen in Guest Star ???? Star Allies Go!.
  • In "Phantom of the Moon Soul", a "Green Greens" section is mixed in the part of "Sullied Grace".
  • The Ultimate Choice's title screen theme is an intense arrangement of the theme, primarily featuring electric guitars, trumpets, and drums. It is arranged byYuuta Ogasawara, and is titled"Your Preferred Spiciness for the Ultimate Choice".[7]
  • The theme of the fourth phase of the battle againstVoid Termina opens up with an electric guitar cover of the "Green Greens" theme, similar to the "Scarred Lands of Dreams and New Greens" version. This track is arranged by Hirokazu Ando once again, and is called"Suite: The Star-Conquering Traveler (Movement 4: The Birth of Hope)".
  • When battling againstVoid, a variation of "Movement 4: The Birth of Hope" plays, which features the "Green Greens" theme even more, going as far as to imitate the original version of the track in chiptune. This version is called"Suite: The Star-Conquering Traveler (Closing Movement: The Twinkling Star)".
  • After reaching100% completion, there is a chance that the main menu theme may be changed to the "Green Greens" arrangement fromKirby Air Ride.

Super Kirby Clash[edit]

InSuper Kirby Clash, the "Green Stories", user profile and Nintendo 3DS HOME Menu arrangements re-appear un-changed in the same places. A new arrangement of the theme plays on the results screen after finishing a Quest.

TheTetris 99 theme for this game includes an extended version of "Heroic Challenge! Quest Board", which includes a new arrangement of "Green Greens".

Kirby Fighters 2[edit]

InKirby Fighters 2, the theme receives an arrangement for the initial credits sequence accessible from the Options menu, where it's paired with "Bumper Crop Bump" fromKirby 64: The Crystal Shards.

In the game's Training Mode and Online waiting rooms, a medley of "Training" fromKirby 64: The Crystal Shards, "Green Greens" and "Ripple Star: Stage Select" plays, named "Training with Rivals"[7]. This medley has two distinct versions: an orchestral and chiptune version; the game selects one of the two at random to play, with the regular version having a higher chance of playing. The regular version is arranged byYuki Shimooka.[8]

Finally, an intense arrangement of the theme plays in most of the Item Rooms in the Final Chapter ofStory Mode: The Destined Rivals up until the 44th floor's item room.

TheTetris 99 theme for this game includes an extended version of "Kirby Fighters 2: The Destined Rivals", which includes a new arrangement of "Green Greens" near the end before looping.

Additionally, left unused in the game's sound archive is a version of the Item Challenge arrangement fromKirby's Return to Dream Land without its intro, internally labelledSE_old_Greens.

Kirby and the Forgotten Land[edit]

InKirby and the Forgotten Land, a new arrangement of the theme, titled"Welcome Back, Kirby", plays when the player is inKirby's House. It also features part of the melody of "Running Through the New World" in the background and incorporates "Kirby's Triumphant Return" near the end of the loop. This version is arranged by Hirokazu Ando and can be found as track 42 at theWaddle Live! Corner Stage.

Kirby's Dream Buffet[edit]

InKirby's Dream Buffet, a brand-new arrangement of the theme has a possibility of playing duringBattle Royale matches, named"Green Greens Buffet"[7]. This arrangement is composed byHirokazu Ando[9][10]. Another possible track that can play in a Battle Royale is "Super Battle Royale", an arrangement of "Ultra-Super Boss Battle" fromKirby's Return to Dream Land, which in turn briefly quotes "Green Greens".

The original version fromKirby's Dream Land, referred to as"Kirby's Dream Land: Memorial Song 1" in-game, can be unlocked for races andFree Rolling upon reachingGourmet Rank 44.

The "Green Stories" arrangement fromTeam Kirby Clash Deluxe, referred to as"Super Kirby Clash: Bonus Song 1" in-game, can be unlocked for races and Free Rolling if the player has save data fromSuper Kirby Clash on their system.

Kirby's Return to Dream Land Deluxe[edit]

InKirby's Return to Dream Land Deluxe, a remastered version of "Green Greens (Return to Dream Land)" reprises its roles in the same circumstances. A remastered version of "Green Greens" only plays in theItem Challenge, as theHAL Rooms now use different background music. Both arrangements are present in theJukebox as tracks 24 and 60.

Additionally, there are additional arrangements of the theme that are exclusive toReturn to Dream Land Deluxe.

Kirby and the Forgotten Land – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Star-Crossed World[edit]

InKirby and the Forgotten Land – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Star-Crossed World, in addition to "Welcome Back, Kirby" reprising its role from the original game, more arrangements of "Green Greens" appear.

Two tracks from prior titles that incorporate "Green Greens" in some capacity return for specific battles inThe Ultimate Cup Z EX: "The Prince of Mirrors and Regret" fromTeam Kirby Clash Deluxe is used for the first phase of the battle againstPhantom Forgo Dedede, while "Suite: The Star-Conquering Traveler - 4th Movement" fromKirby Star Allies is used for theMorpho Knight battle. Both of these can be played back at the corner stage as tracks 134 and 138.

An arrangement that also contains elements of "TWINKLING STAR SHOWERS" plays after clearing The Ultimate Cup Z EX, as well as on the "Kirby and the Forgotten Land – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Star-Crossed World Complete!" screen after fully completing all of the Nintendo Switch 2 Edition-exclusive content. It is titled"Kirby of the Stars Interview" and arranged by Yuki Shimooka. It can be found at the corner stage as track 143.

After clearingStar-Crossed World, there is a random chance that a jazz arrangement of "Green Greens", titled"Welcome Home, Hero", can play in Kirby's House. This arrangement is by Shogo Sakai, and can be found at the corner stage as track 147.

Kirby Air Riders[edit]

InKirby Air Riders, every arranged version of "Green Greens" fromKirby Air Ride reprises its original role, with "City Trial: Rowdy Charge Tank" now named"Energy Tanks Running Amok". Additionally, the theme is featured within the game's new arrangement of "Milky Way Wishes: Staff Credits", based heavily on its arrangement from the originalKirby Air Ride.

Other appearances[edit]

https://wikirby.com/wiki/File:HNKYIM_Sparkling_March.oga
"Sparkling March" from theKirby's Adventure soundtrack, a vocal arrangement performed by Mako Miyata.

In theKirby's Adventure soundtrack album, the theme received a vocal arrangement namedキラキラマーチ (Sparkling March).

In the Japanese version ofKirby: Right Back at Ya!, the Drag Race arrangement fromKirby Air Ride plays in some of the later episodes; it is namedとっておきの作戦 (Special Strategy) onKirby & The Amazing Mirror Sound Plus. Meanwhile, its orchestral "Green Greens" arrangement plays during a scene inThe Kirby Derby - Part II, asKirby's Starship takes flight, and the final scene ofAir-Ride-in-Style - Part II, where Kirby flies off inside theDestroya and destroys it with theCrash Copy Ability. The arrangement as it appears in the anime also appears on twoKirby CDs:The Very Best of Kirby: 52 Hit Tracks andKirby & The Amazing Mirror Sound Plus. In both instances, it is mistakenly listed as originating fromSuper Smash Bros. Melee.

A live orchestra arrangement of theSuper Smash Bros. Melee arrangement appears in theSmashing...Live! album, as the fourteenth track. It was arranged by Hirokazu Ando and performed by New Japan Philharmonic.

An arrangement featured in the 2006 coin pusher gameKirby: Sparkling Medal Land (「星のカービィ~きらきらメダルランド~」) strongly resembles the simple "Green Greens" arrangement inKirby and the Rainbow Curse that would follow nine years later, although the latter is clearly faster and re-orchestrated.[11] This arrangement may have been originally created for the Japanese version ofKirby: Right Back at Ya!, as the game otherwise heavily borrows artwork and sound elements from the anime.[12]

The theme is also featured at the beginning of the bonus trackステージメドレー/アコースティックver. (Stage Medley / Acoustic Ver.) of theKirby Ultra Super Deluxe Original Sound Track. It sounds very similar to theKirby's Epic Yarn arrangement, though it was released beforehand.

A small portion of "Green Greens" appears inAR Games alongside other Nintendo motifs as a part of the music that plays in the background for the mode that lets the player scan this card.

TheKirby's Return to Dream Land Item Challenge arrangement of the theme is part of the "Kirby Medley" in theTaiko no Tatsujin series.

https://wikirby.com/wiki/File:K25_Grand_Opening_(Green_Greens).oga
"Grand Opening" from theKirby 25th Anniversary Orchestra Concert, an orchestral performance by the Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra.

The theme has been performed live using an orchestra, most prominently in theKirby 25th Anniversary Orchestra Concert, as part of the opening theme "Kirby's 25th Anniversary: Grand Opening". It was later also performed at theKirby 30th Anniversary Music Festival, as the first part of the opening theme "Green Greens ~ Running Through the New World".

Kirby Pupupu Train features two arrangements of this theme, both included on theKirby Pupupu Train Eki-melo Collection. One is an acoustic arrangement withGourmet Race titledグリーングリーンズ~激突!グルメレース/KIRBY PUPUPU TRAIN Ver. (Green Greens ~ Gourmet Race / Kirby Pupupu Train Ver.). The other is a short eki-melo arrangement titledグリーングリーンズ駅 (Green Greens Station).

https://wikirby.com/wiki/File:The_Sound_of_Kirby_Cafe_2_Green_Warmth_Sample.mp3
"GREEN WARMTH" fromThe Sound of Kirby Café 2, a triple meter arrangement.

"Green Greens" has also appeared inThe Sound of Kirby Café 2 as Track 15: "GREEN WARMTH", featuring "Kirby's Triumphant Return" at the end.

On theKirby 30th Anniversary Site, theKirby Air Ride arrangement plays when viewing Kirbys number 01 ("Ohirune Time"), 03 ("Harukaze to Tomomi"), 05 ("Hover"), 08 ("Feed Me"), 14 ("Muteki no Candy"), 22 ("Inhale"), 24 ("Bouken no Hajimari"), 25 ("Panic!"), 26 ("Yakiimo Shooting"), 27 ("Slide Attack"), and 30 ("Discovery").

The version fromSuper Smash Bros. Melee is one of the tracks that can be selected in the European/Australian version ofDonkey Konga 2. Additionally, the version fromKirby's Adventure (along with the "Kirby Dance" jingle) is one of the tracks that can be selected inDonkey Konga 3, under the name「星のカービィ 夢の泉の物語」(the Japanese name ofKirby's Adventure).

"Green Greens" is arranged in five different music genres (jazz, rock, chill, pop and country) as part of a collaboration between theKirby series and Craft Boss Coffee.

"Green Greens" is one of threeKirby songs included as a demo in theKirby Otamatone Melody, an officially-licensed music toy.

"Green Greens" is used as the alarm sound of an officially-licensedKirby clock by RHYTHM.

An arrangement of "Welcome Back, Kirby" fromKirby and the Forgotten Land is featured in an officially licensed collection ofKirby sheet music published byYamaha Corporation.[13]

"Green Greens Buffet" fromKirby's Dream Buffet played in"The Many Dimensions of Kirby" panel at GDC 2023, when presenting the 30th anniversary of theKirby series.
