"Grand Opening"[Japanese title] is the opening theme ofKirby Super Star and itsremake. It plays during all three variants of the opening cutscene of said games. The theme was composed byJun Ishikawa.[1]
Composition[edit]

"Grand Opening" is a merry theme that is in C major, 4/4, and has a pretty fast tempo. It open up with a jingle that plays A-D with twinkling synths as the trumpets open up the song in rapid major-ninth sixteenth notes while keeping up the principal tonic of the theme. The main section of the music alternates between major and minor harmonies of melodic C major. As Kirby faithfully rides through the grassy fields on his Warp Star, the scene transitions to the game's title screen and as a result, ends with a sudden fanfare.
