Grand Mam, titledBig Bad Mama, is aboss who appears inKirby Star Allies. She is a giant armored opponent with bombs for gauntlets and a large bow atop her head. Unlike other bosses, she is only fought inStory Mode and is faced exclusively using theFriend Star onGrott Moon.
During Grand Mam's battle, she will attempt to charge the Friend Star and launch her bomb arms into the ground. She can also call on reinforcements to warp into the battlefield, includingSir Kibble,Blade Knight, andBurning Leo (enemies whose abilities are key to defeating this boss). To defeat Grand Mam, the Star Allies must first cut loose one of the bombs while it is out, then light the severed fuse to make it explode on top of her. This done, her armor will be knocked off, leaving her body open to attacks from the Friend Star for a short duration before she restores her armor.

| ボムパンチ Bomb Punch | Grand Mam walks towards the Friend Star until she's within range, charges up one of her arms and then slams it into the ground in front of her. This repeats two more times in rapid succession, with her arm getting stuck in the ground for a longer duration after the third punch. |
| 能力敵生み出し Ability Enemy Creation | Grand Mam roars and summons two enemies that drop into the battle arena. Defeated enemies from Friend Star attacks leave behind ability hats which can give the person at the front of the Friend Star one of the abilities they'll need to deal damage. Before one of her arms is sliced off, she will summon oneSir Kibble and oneBlade Knight, both of which provide a means to cut her arms. After one of her arms is sliced off, she will summon twoBurning Leos, which provide a means to light the fuse. |
| 突進 Rush | After a brief charge-up, Grand Mam charges from one side of the screen to the other before eventually repeating the attack from the opposite side. This attack will only be performed if Grand Mam's armor is removed and she can restore it before charging the second time. |
