During multiplayer gameplay, Grab Hand will appear and attack Kirby. Kirby can progress as long as Waddle Dees attack and defeat Grab Hand.
— Kirby and the Rainbow Curse electronic manual, page 15

Grab Hand is an enemy fromKirby and the Rainbow Curse. He is an incarnation ofDark Crafter, and will try to chase and grabKirby if there areWaddle Dees helping him. It is up to the Waddle Dees to knock the Grab Hand away, as Kirby cannot deal with the creature by himself; Grab Hands can grab Kirby even while he is attacking them with aTouch Dash orStar Dash. If Kirby is abducted and carried off-screen by a Grab Hand, he will automatically lose a life. If a Waddle Dee touches a Grab Hand, he will toss them away in the same room.

Grab Hands appear in one portion of most stages during multiplayer gameplay, and will prevent Kirby from moving forward until they are defeated, rewarding 100 points and 15Point Stars. They do not appear inDeploy the Kirby Tank!,The Haunted Ship,Kirby Submarine's Torpedo Time,Kirby Rocket's Big Blastoff,Woodland Battle,Deep-Divin' Kirby Submarine,Back to the Battleship,Kirby + Kirby or any boss stage. In the stages they appear in,Burning Secrets is the only one to feature two separate Grab Hand encounters in multiplayer.

Two Grab Hands are seen in the intro cutscene trying to grabElline before Kirby andWaddle Dee drive them off. Two Grab Hands can also be seen attached toClaycia while she is possessed and assist her in making sculptures used throughout the fight. They are also seen onDark Crafter himself once he emerges from Claycia, suggesting that they are his hands; they are likely destroyed after Dark Crafter's defeat.

Trivia[edit]

  • When Grab Hand appears, a piece of music plays which was also used inKirby Mass Attack as theSkull Gang's theme. This could be a reference to how Grab Hand and theSkullys operate in a similar manner.

Flavor text[edit]

  • This hand's got sticky fingers, and he's been trying to nab Elline since she escaped. Kirby can't seem to defeat him, but at least Waddle Dee can knock him back a bit with a well-thrown spear!--Figurine description
  • Looks like Grab Hand is trying to get ahold of Kirby! No one wants to see Kirby dragged off to who knows where, so it's up to Waddle Dee to use his spear and save the day. Hurry up and save Kirby, Waddle Dee!--Fearful Grab Hand Figurine description
