- This article is about the battle stage inKirby Fighters 2. For the stage inDedede's Drum Dash, seeGourmet Go Go (Dedede's Drum Dash).
Gourmet Go Go is aBattle Stage inKirby Fighters 2. It is based onGourmet Race fromKirby Super Star Ultra, and featuresWaddle Dees that throwfood and otheritems to the fighters.
Layout[edit]
Gourmet Go Go is a large open stage that features a flat floor and fourthin floors dispersed above it. The thin floors form a diagonal pattern downward from the edges to the center, though they are also horizontal. At regular intervals,Waddle Dees will appear to toss items for the fighters to make use of or avoid. These are as follows:
- Food
- Bombs disguised as food which deal 15 damage
- Dash Shoes
- Gordos which deal 10 damage per hit
Every now and then, a Waddle Dee with a boom cone appears to signify the start of a "race". Shortly afterward, a largeKing Dedede (resembling his 2D sprite fromKirby Super Star Ultra) appears and runs across the stage either to the left or to the right, and may make use of the thin floors as platforms as he moves. Colliding with him inflicts 25 damage.
The aesthetic of the stage is taken fromPumpkin Grand, the first stage ofGourmet Race, and features updated visuals rendered in 3D.
It is possible to toggle on or off the hazards for this stage in regular battles. When hazards are off, the Waddle Dees do not appear, nor does King Dedede run across the stage.
Unlock requirements[edit]
InKirby Fighters 2, Gourmet Go Go is unlocked upon reachingFighters Rank 3. The secret song for the stage is unlocked at Fighters Rank 58.
Origin[edit]

- Main article:Pumpkin Grand
Gourmet Go Go takes its aesthetic and theme song from the first stage ofGourmet Race (calledPumpkin Grand) inKirby Super Star Ultra. This stage is a straightforward course which pits Kirby and King Dedede against each-other to reach the end while gobbling up as much food as they can in the process. Unlike the battle stage, the course does not feature Waddle Dees throwing additional food or hazards onto the track.
Trivia[edit]
- Gourmet Go Go is the only battle stage fromKirby Fighters 2 which does not feature a remix of the default stage music as its Secret Song.
