"Golden Legend" is a stage theme fromKirby: Triple Deluxe that plays in thefourth andfifth stages ofWild World. It was composed byJun Ishikawa.[1]

Composition[edit]

Kirby explores the golden temple.

"Golden Legend" is an Eastern styled theme in C Phrygian dominant mode and 4/4. It features a brief energetic opening from the dominant. The descending melody at first closely resembles "Cocoa Cave" but then diverges, giving more focus to the exotic tones surrounding the tonic and dominant. After the melody reaches its end, a response based on these last intonations follows. A variation of the melody follows, now in regular Phrygian mode. Another similar response is heard. A new truncated version of the melody plays, repeating the initial intonations until ending on an elevated leading tone.

The second section repeats the first, albeit with the former response instrument taking the lead with new ones in its stead. Once all three versions of the melody play, the beat stops, and a solo sitar plays the third variation once more. The intro repeats as it finishes, and the track loops.
