This article is about the piranha-plant-like enemy fromKirby Mass Attack, and should not be confused withGobblin.
Ravenous foes called Gobchomplins live in the cemetery. They'll gulp you down in one bite.
— Daroach, inKirby Mass Attack

Gobchomplin is anenemy fromKirby Mass Attack. It looks and behaves similarly to aPiranha Plant from theSuper Mario series, though its bulb is black, and it is typically found out in the open, rather than in pipes. Gobchomplin waits on floors or ceilings forKirbys to approach, then will try to eat them by lunging forward. If it catches one, that Kirby will be munched on, then KO'd. Gobchomplin cannot be pummeled, and will bounce away any Kirbys who try to do so. This also causes them to be dizzy for a short period of time. The only way a Gobchomplin can be defeated through normal means is by having a Kirby touch it under the effects ofInvincible Candy.

Trivia[edit]

  • Gobchomplin's flower on its mouth is colored yellow on its official artwork, but is colored orange in game.
  • InStage 5 ofVolcano Valley, if one of the Kirbys gets eaten by a Gobchomplin during the cutscene where the Kirbys gets transported to the area where theSkullies are fought for holding theSkull Key, the Gobchomplin will be destroyed as the eaten Kirby gets out unharmed.
