| “ | This robust swimmer has a powerful jaw. It floats on the water's surface, watching and waiting for its prey. Its hide is as tough as armor, so you'll need something bigger than a Copy Ability to take him down... Do you think Mouthful Mode would do the trick? | ” | — Figure description fromKirby and the Forgotten Land |
Gnawcodile is a big black crocodile-likeenemy that is part of theBeast Pack and first appeared inKirby and the Forgotten Land andKirby and the Forgotten Land – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Star-Crossed World. It is typically seen swimming inwater, either holding still or moving in set patrol patterns. IfKirby gets within range, Gnawcodile will make a big and dramatic dive under his position and then bite upward to try and catch him. If successful, Gnawcodile will drag Kirby under and chew on him until Kirby escapes (by having the player mash the control stick). Gnawcodile cannot beinhaled, and cannot be damaged by ordinary attacks. To defeat Gnawcodile, Kirby must make use of aMouthful Mode, with the typical method being ramming into it using a boat powered byRing Mouth. Defeating Gnawcodile in this way earns Kirby a greenStar Coin.
Gnawcodiles also appear in the Nintendo Switch 2 Edition'sStar-Crossed World mode, though they only appear inFallen-Star Beach and do not have a Crystal variant.

- Thefigure description for Gnawcodile seems to erroneously refer to the enemy with both neuter and masculine pronouns simultaneously. Given that "it" appears thrice, while "him" only appears once, neuter is likely the correct set of pronouns to use.
