Giant bowling pins[derived from Japanese] are objects that appear inKirby's Return to Dream Land andKirby's Return to Dream Land Deluxe. They only appear inWhite Wafers - Stage 4 andDangerous Dinner - Stage 1. Two versions of Giant bowling pins exist: an ice-themed bowling pin, namedGiant Ice Pin[Japanese title], appearing inWhite Wafers and a magma-themed pin, namedGiant Lava Pin[Japanese title], which appears inDangerous Dinner.

The Giant Ice Pin is a large, spiked pin made of ice with red markings and a glowing star symbol on it. ItsHalcandra counterpart, the Giant Lava Pin, is similar in height and appears to be made of melted rocks and magma and also dons a star symbol. Giant bowling pins are destroyed using theSnow BowlSuper Ability.Kirby must roll through them, and depending on the amount of pins destroyed, a party ball pops open and gives him a prize in the form ofPoint Stars andfood.
