"Final Battle - Overcome the Naughty Shadow!"[3] is a theme fromKirby Fighters 2 that plays when battling againstShadow Kirby in the final chapter ofStory Mode: The Destined Rivals and on Very Hard difficulty inSingle-Handed Mode. It was arranged byYuki Shimooka.[1][2]
Composition[edit]

"Final Battle - Overcome the Naughty Shadow!" is a dramatic orchestrated theme in F minor and 4/4. It starts off with a tense iteration of "Dark Meta Knight Appears" and an ominous whistle as the intro. The main melody is a dark, minor version of "Forest/Nature Area" played by low brass. As its first section plays out, "Mid-Boss Battle" takes over briefly. "Forest/Nature Area" returns in the strings with a restless counterpoint. "Mid-Boss Battle" serves as a bridge modulating to harmonic B-flat major, where the second section of "Forest/Nature Area" tutti plays in its full glory. Instead of transitioning to the ending section, it slides down into D minor, where "Dark Meta Knight" follows cue, at first quiet, and then with more tension building up. Various whistling noises similar to those from the intro add up, and the second portion of "Dark Meta Knight" modulates from F to G minor and ends in a final dramatic chord. The track then loops from the intro.
