AnEnergy Drink is a common item in theKirby games. This particularfood item resembles a Japanese health drink, such asLipovitan, bottled in a brown container with a yellow label and cap. It has appeared since the originalKirby's Dream Land, often being the only food item other than theMaxim Tomato in early games of the series, and only missing three main-series games (Kirby Super Star,Kirby Super Star Ultra, andKirby's Return to Dream Land).
The Energy Drink's primary purpose is to restore lost vitality. Relative to common food items in later titles, the Energy Drink is more effective; the amount ofhealth restored varies from game to game, but it is usually one third of Kirby's maximum health.
Terminology[edit]
While the item has consistently been called元気ドリンク (lit. "Energy Drink") in Japanese, its English name was inconsistent when it was first introduced, even when the names of other items likeMaxim Tomatoes were standardized. The item's various English names include:

Kirby's Dream Land[edit]
InKirby's Dream Land, Energy Drinks are introduced at the beginning of the adventure inside the "IN" door inGreen Greens, and are found in each stage exceptMt. Dedede, mostly enclosed from the rest of the environment behindStar Blocks, doors, or otherwise off the stage's usual path. They restore two points of vitality to Kirby.
Kirby's Adventure /Kirby: Nightmare in Dream Land[edit]
Energy Drinks are seen again inKirby's Adventure andKirby: Nightmare in Dream Land, with an orange coloration in the former. They are found in many stages and are virtually unchanged. In theExtra Game andMeta Knightmare, they only restore a single point of energy, which is still the same fraction of Kirby's maximum health.
Kirby's Pinball Land[edit]
InKirby's Pinball Land, Energy Drinks, referred to asOutlane Stoppers[11], are placed as a one-time stopgap in the distal gutter areas on the various tables after activating a Rollover Switch to save Kirby if he happens to fall through. After this, they disappear.
Kirby's Dream Land 2[edit]
InKirby's Dream Land 2, Energy Drinks pulsate softly before they are collected. They restore 2 points of Kirby's life meter. They are present in theGoal Game for the first time, and will be grabbed as long as Kirby reaches at least the fourth cloud floor.
Kirby's Toy Box[edit]
The role of Energy Drinks fromKirby's Pinball Land is retained inKirby's Toy Box - Pinball.
Kirby's Dream Land 3[edit]
Energy Drinks return inKirby's Dream Land 3. In this depiction, they are red with a blue label. Each one restores a full square (representing two hit points) of Kirby orGooey's life. They are one of the items that can be found in the Goal Game.
Kirby Tilt 'n' Tumble[edit]
InKirby Tilt 'n' Tumble, Energy Drinks are less potent than the other food items and only give Kirby a single point of health back. They are uncommon and are confined to bonus areas within stages.
Kirby Air Ride[edit]
ForKirby Air Ride, Energy Drinks are only found inCity Trial and serve as one of the food items that restore the health of Kirby's vehicle. Like those, it bears a slightly photorealistic design, but is a flat object. They are occassionally uncovered inred boxes, and there is aChecklist objective which requires Kirby to drink three of the drinks in a single round of City Trial.
Kirby & The Amazing Mirror[edit]
Energy Drinks are scattered throughoutMirror World inKirby & The Amazing Mirror for use by Kirby and his copies to restore health. It restores 2 hit points to Kirby, and can be shared with other nearby Kirbys. They are also available in Goal Games.
Kirby: Canvas Curse[edit]
Energy Drinks serve a dual purpose inKirby: Canvas Curse's sub-games,Block Attack andCart Run. In addition to providing a vitality boost, the bottles also award Kirby with points, which help his overall score. The other sub-game in this title,Paint Panic, features a connect-the-dots puzzle image of the iconic item.
Kirby: Squeak Squad[edit]
InKirby: Squeak Squad, in addition to normally appearing in some stages, Energy Drinks can be created if two Cherry bubbles are mixed. They restore 1/3 of Kirby's life meter and are otherwise match the previous games in terms of functionality.
Kirby: Triple Deluxe[edit]
Energy Drinks appear in 3D for the first time inKirby: Triple Deluxe. Their traits, including their presence in Goal Games and their capability to restore 1/3 of Kirby's health, are identical to prior entires. If StreetPass is used, they can become one of the items given inAssist Stars byBandana Waddle Dee. By default, Bandana Waddle Dee will toss an Assist Star containing an Energy Drink before boss fights at the end of a level, and before mid-boss battles inDededetour. Four Energy Drinks serve as the predominant restorative items inThe True Arena. They can rarely spawn in theKirby Fighters sub-game.
Kirby Fighters Deluxe &Kirby Fighters 2[edit]
In theKirby Fighters games, Energy Drinks restore 60 HP in standard battles. They also appear as distinct story items inStory Mode: The Destined Rivals, where they restore 50% health to Kirby and his buddy.
Kirby: Planet Robobot[edit]
InKirby: Planet Robobot, Energy Drinks play the same role as the previous title.
Team Kirby Clash Deluxe &Super Kirby Clash[edit]
InTeam Kirby Clash Deluxe andSuper Kirby Clash, Energy Drinks rarely appear during Quests to restore Kirby and his teammates' health bars.
Kirby Star Allies[edit]
Energy Drinks are present inKirby Star Allies, with their characteristics from previous games intact. Some characters, likeMagolor, have moves that can collect Energy Drinks and other items from afar.
Kirby and the Forgotten Land /Kirby and the Forgotten Land – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Star-Crossed World[edit]
InKirby and the Forgotten Land and itsNintendo Switch 2 Edition, Energy Drinks appear in stages to restore Kirby and Bandana Waddle Dee's health meters. The stat-boosting items sold byItem-Shop Waddle Dee are also a type of Energy Drink that he produced himself. AStock Item version can be obtained atWaddle Dee Café or by scanning theWaddle Deeamiibo.
Kirby's Return to Dream Land Deluxe[edit]
Energy Drinks do not appear in the base game ofKirby's Return to Dream Land, but do appear inKirby's Return to Dream Land Deluxe exclusively as aSouvenir Item.
Kirby Air Riders[edit]
Energy Drinks are once again a part of City Trial inKirby Air Riders. They restore a machine's health and are found randomly. Some Energy Drinks can be found along the path in some stages ofRoad Trip. They also appear during certainStadium events and the Survival challenges in Road Trip.
