Dyna Blade is the second main game featured inKirby Super Star and its remake,Kirby Super Star Ultra. In this game,Dyna Blade, a large bird with metal wings, has stolen crops from local farmers. Kirby must go through four levels and two hidden areas, before finally fighting Dyna Blade herself. In the end of the game, it is revealed that Dyna Blade was merely trying to feed her chicks. Kirby alleviates the problem by feeding themWhispy Woods' apples and teaching the chicks how to fly. This game is available from the start inKirby Super Star, but is unlocked by completingstage 1 ofSpring Breeze inKirby Super Star Ultra. Completing this game will unlockRevenge of Meta Knight inKirby Super Star, and contribute to unlocking it inKirby Super Star Ultra.
Similarly toMilky Way Wishes, Dyna Blade features a map that enables the player to select a stage; however, this game's map allows for less free navigation, restricting Kirby's movements to a number of predefined paths instead, similar to the world maps seen inSuper Mario Bros. 3.
Stages[edit]

There are a total of eight stages in Dyna Blade, though three of them are avoidable. Stages are unlocked by clearing prior stages, or by pressingBig Switches. At the end of each regular stage, aGoal Game is played.

Goal Game[edit]
At the end of each regular stage, the player can play ashort bonus game to get1-Ups. Three Kirbys operate a cannon while a bar fills up above the cannon. When a button is pressed, the cannon fires out a Kirby that hits a row of common enemies. The more the bar is filled up, the more Kirby will hit and the more 1-ups that will be awarded. The maximum is three.

Trivia[edit]
- The map used to select this game's stages functions very similarly to the world maps inSuper Mario Bros. 3, the moving "E" symbol behaving much like the latter'sHammer Bros.Enemy Course symbol on the map.
- This same world map would also be used as a temporary backdrop for courses in the originalKirby's Air Ride for theNintendo 64.
- A similar style of level map would later be seen inKirby: Squeak Squad and the main series3DS titles.
- Dyna Blade is the only main game inKirby Super Star andKirby Super Star Ultra where only one boss is fought (not countingGourmet Race).
- The world map for this game can be seen as part of Dream Land in the background for the Obstacle Arena inSlam Hockey inKirby Battle Royale.
