- This article is about the stage fromKirby's Dream Buffet. For the consumable item that restores health in some otherKirby games, seeFood.
Doughnuts is one of the eightRace stages inKirby's Dream Buffet. It is available at the start, and has theKirbys racing along numerous curved passageways atop wide doughnuts and narrow churros.
Overview[edit]
This stage makes use of doughnuts as platforms in many areas, which creates a lot of split paths and opportunities to fall into holes. In addition, there are many places where churros are used to create long narrow bridges that typically serve as side pathways. Otherwise, the stage makes use of flat plates to serve as wider trackways. Additional elements of the stage include whipped cream, cookies, cutlery, and wafer rolls. Puddles of chocolate drizzle are interspersed on some of the flatter surfaces, which can slow down Kirbys that roll into them.
Variants of this stage differ in the particulars, but they all follow the same basic structure and have the following sections in the following order:
- A starting stretch consisting of large glazed doughnut platforms.
- A wide flat plate surface with churros or smaller doughnuts on it, either acting as archways forDash Panels or spinning around to serve as obstacles.
- A second stretch of doughnut platforms flanked by narrow churro bridges leading to the Crumbling Cookie Wall.
- A tight turn leading to a long sideways stretch of road which then turns again to go forward through another section of arches or flat churros toward a second crumbling wall.
- One last line of doughnut platforms with wafer logs rolling atop them leading up to a long churro ramp at the very end.
