"Dedede's Tridimensional Cannon"[2] is the boss theme forDedede Clones & D3 inKirby: Planet Robobot. It was composed byHirokazu Ando.[1]
Composition[edit]

"Dedede's Tridimensional Cannon" is heroic in character and defined by triple meter, which represents the three Dedede Clones and brings the track's two main components closer. It starts with an orchestrated B minor short version of "Revenge of Meta Knight (Map)", serving as a prelude while Kirby elevates to the roof before the phase of the corresponding battle. The rhythmical shift of the base theme serves as the transition to the main melody of this track: a 3/4 version of "King Dedede's Theme". Opening with piano glissandi, it proceeds in C minor with alternating synthesizers in the lead and orchestral accompaniment. The entirety of the theme plays, rhythmically rearranged with some liberties to fit the tighter time signature.
After the final portion is played by chiptune, the meter discretely shifts to 6/8, thus transitioning to a sped up version of the second section of "My Friend and the Sunset" with integration of synthesized counterpoints. The first section of said theme eventually arrives as the climax of this track, featuring a clear and powerful brass lead as synthesizers continue their supporting role. Not a moment after the section ends, "Revenge of Meta Knight (Map)" follows. Compared to the intro, it is faster, as it is in the same tempo as most of the track, and extended properly with a short portion of the theme's new section from "Return of Meta Knight"; however, much like in the intro, it transitions into "King Dedede's Theme", at which point the track loops.
