— Kirby Fighters 2 loading screen tip

Dash Shoes are items that can appear during battles in theKirby Fighters games. When a fighter touches this item, he gains much greater movement speed and jump height for a while. Despite the plural title, the item is represented as a singular blue shoe with a yellow star and wing-like frill as decoration.

Use[edit]

When picking up the Dash Shoes, a fighter will gain greatly increased walking/running speed and be able to jump much higher for over ten seconds. While this effect is active, the fighter emanates a bright blue glow, and does extra flips while jumping. This speed boost does not apply to any form ofhover or to attacks that involve movement.

In addition to the Dash Shoes themselves, this effect can also be granted by theAction Star and theCheer Pom-Poms. As such, Dash Shoes do not stack their effect with the Cheer Pom-Poms, and will do nothing if picked up while under the pom-poms' effect.

In Story Mode: The Destined Rivals[edit]

The mysterious effect of this stage causes both you and your enemy to move atdouble speed! Read their moves, fight smart, and don't go so fast that you run into ahazard!

InKirby Fighters 2'sStory Mode: The Destined Rivals, there is a special battle condition referred to as a "Speedy Stage". During these battles, all participants have a permanent Dash Shoes effect, though the item itself is never directly involved. Clearing the stage grants the player 100 additional points.
