Crystal Needle is anEvolved Copy Ability based onNeedle that appears inKirby and the Forgotten Land andKirby and the Forgotten Land – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Star-Crossed World. This ability givesKirby a silver tiara with long pearlescent crystals embedded in it. Using Crystal Needle, Kirby can leave behind a trail of crystal spikes as he rolls along as well as being able to roll around for longer in general. When he retracts his crystals, he shoots one or more balls of crystals forward as projectiles.
Theblueprint for Crystal Needle can be found in the stageThe Wastes Where Life Began, located in aTreasure Chest atop the grounded ship in the first area. Crystal Needle is required to play theTreasure Road stageRush and Roll! Falling Needle Road.

| ニードルボウル Needle Ball | Press and hold B/Y | Kirby extends spikes all around his body, taking a second for them to fully extend. If the L Stick is moved while the button is held, Kirby can roll around like a ball and can catch enemies and objects with his spikes. As Kirby rolls, he gradually slows down; however, catching enemies and objects also briefly speeds him up. This will leave a trail of sharp crystals which can damage enemies. If the attack button is pressed in midair, Kirby spins and dashes in the direction the L-Stick is tilted, before transitioning into Needle Ball. Releasing the attack button after activation will shoot 1-3 crystal projectiles. | 24 per hit, 9 (ground crystal), 12 (thrown crystals) |
