"Coin Clash" is a comically spooky theme in E minor and 4/4. It starts off with a descending string intro reminiscent of "Top Ride: Water" and continues with the latter's accompaniment type. After a theremin octave and cymbal tremolo conclude the intro, the honky-tonk piano melody comes in as a distant variation of "Let Battle Commence!" with abundant semitones. The phrase concludes with an added xylophone and a phrase close to "Kirby's Triumphant Return". This repeats with added strings and percussion creating a tutti. The pace slows down for an organ, bell and theremin section. The organ holds down a chord as the theremin plays an eerie version of "Green Greens", joined by the occasional bell notes. After the melody reaches a high dominant peak, the intro repeats as the track loops.
