Cloud Palace

Cloud Palace is the third stage ofDream Land inKirby's Epic Yarn andKirby's Extra Epic Yarn, unlocked by clearingTempest Towers and obtaining thePinwheel Patch. This stage takes place high in the clouds and requires a lot of careful jumping before a fight withKracko using theStar Shooter. Completing this stage grants theBoxing Glove Patch, used to unlockCastle Dedede.
Patch animation[edit]
Upon throwing the patch, aYarn Waddle Dee appears floating in the air with a pinwheel. Suddenly, a huge windstorm occurs and blows the Waddle Dee away. The storm creates a cloud palace in the air and dissipates, then the door opens.
Overview[edit]
The stage takes place high up in the clouds along several golden platforms. Given the altitude, there are manypitfalls here, butKirby can cross them by grabbing onto lines ofPendulum posts with wings that move in formation. Hordes ofBoingers also come in handy as stepping stones for Kirby to cross the chasms. After reaching a certain point in the stage,Kracko will appear and chase Kirby for a bit, trying to zap him, but can be outran after a fair distance. From here, a few more wide pits need to be crossed up ahead.

Metamortex stretch[edit]
After crossing the previous areas, Kirby can find aMetamortex which will transform him into theStar Shooter, the last of thetransformations in the game. Using this, Kirby will need to fly through a great many obstacles up ahead, includingBronto Burts,Shotzos andButtonbees. At the end of this path, Kracko returns, and Kirby has to fight him. Defeating him grants access to theReel Gate and the end of the stage.
