Clay Ball[Japanese title] is a floating spiky ball enemy which makes its first (and so far only) appearance inKirby and the Rainbow Curse. It is one of the few enemies in the game that was never given its ownFigurine (and hence, was never named outside of Japanese sources). It appears inThe Final Battle, where it is used byClaycia in her boss fight to try and rough up Kirby. Clay Balls tend to drift in straight lines without being affected by gravity, and bounce off of any surface they come into contact with. When their spikes are out, Clay Balls are dangerous to touch, but they regularly retract these spikes and go dormant, at which point Kirby can knock into them to cause them to fly off and explode after a single bounce. If a Clay Ball hits Claycia, she will be knocked to the ground and made vulnerable to follow-up attacks. Clay Balls do not reward anything when defeated.
