Chumbrella

Chumbrella is a specialFriend Ability inKirby Star Allies which allowsParasolKirby orParasol Waddle Dee to make said parasol grow giant. While giant, the Parasol will stop waterfalls from getting through, and can also shield allies from powerful attacks coming from above. To activate it, the player needs simply to hold up on the Control Stick or + Control Pad. Unlike most other Friend Abilities, Chumbrella does not require help from any friends to activate. The parasol will turn back to normal upon using an attack.
The name 'Chumbrella' is a portmanteau of the words 'chum' (slang for friend) and 'umbrella' (another word for Parasol).
Trivia[edit]
- During the initial E3 reveal ofKirby Star Allies, the Chumbrella looked like the standard parasol, albeit the same increased proportions. The unique heart design was added in later, before the game's release.
