This article is about the enemy, and should not be confused withMr. Chip.
Chip is a common round fuzzyenemy that appears in a select number ofKirby games. It is a bouncy, limbless, round creature with yellow fur, two large round black eyes, a cheery expression, and a white-tipped tail resembling that of ared fox.
Chip moves by jumping around, periodically hesitating on the ground for a short while in-between each bound. It attacks via collision, harming bothKirby and itself in the process. Chip does not have muchhealth, is vulnerable to all attacks and does not give aCopy Ability when swallowed. However, Chip tends to be found in large groups with other members of its kin, making them somewhat more threatening than enemies which go solo.
Chip returns inKirby: Squeak Squad, completely unchanged from its debut appearance. It is still relatively common, and can still be found in large numbers in the stages it appears in.
Chip returns in its first 3D appearance inKirby: Triple Deluxe. It attacks by tackling Kirby, and will often jump between the foreground and background to do so.
Chip makes an appearance inKirby: Planet Robobot along with its larger cousin,Chippurus. Chip is one of the few enemies in this game with no cyborg attachments.
Chip returns inKirby Star Allies, behaving much as it did inKirby: Planet Robobot. This marks its first appearance on a home console game outside ofVirtual Console.
