Chameleo Arm (Ghameleo Arm inKirby Super Star) is aboss that appears inKirby Super Star and its remake,Kirby Super Star Ultra. It looks like a chameleon with arms (which it uses for clinging to walls), claws on the bottom, lumps on its back, and hair. It mainly moves by rolling on the ground and leaping into the air. It has a long pink tongue, whereas its body has no set color, possessing a different one each time the boss is challenged. Its official artwork shows green as the default color. It also changes color after disappearing and reappearing, or after being attacked using thePaint ability.
The boss's strategy is its power to camouflage itself, spit rainbow balls (which grant thePaintability when inhaled and swallowed), attempt to eat Kirby, and attack with its claws. In its invisible state, striking Chameleo Arm's body can be tough, especially when the boss is moving around.
Once its health is depleted, Chameleo Arm is knocked out of the arena, falling off-screen much like Kirby does when defeated.
Chameleo Arm sports multiplecolor schemes. In the original game, Chameleo Arm appears in six colors: red, orange, yellow, green, blue, and pink. In the remake, it has a new purple color, and it also has another set of seven colors which exclusively appear inMilky Way Wishes andHelper to Hero: maroon, salmon, gold, olive, cyan, black, and white. The alternate color version of Chameleo Arm also has more health than the standard version, much like with several other bosses.
