Overview[edit]
Challenge 16 is a Survival Challenge, divided into twelve rooms with 15 seconds per room. The rooms are as follows:
| Room | Description | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| This room is filled withStar Blocks and clayblocks, the latter of which form a wavy path fromKirby to thetreasure chest. Kirby will need to bust through these blocks to get to the chest. | This room is nearly identical to the first room inChallenge 9. | |
| This room features a set of flowerspikes that grow into obstacles, after which fourBronto Burts appear. Kirby will need to defeat the Bronto Burts to make the treasure chest appear in the upper-right. | ||
| The chest in this room is located up top in the middle inside aGray Zone, whilebumpers occupy the lower spaces. Kirby will need to slip through all these obstacles to get the chest from his starting position in the lower-left. | ||
| This room's chest is guarded bymetal blocks, forming a square shape in the lower-middle portion of the room. Along with this, thin floors cut off access to the lower half of the room, which is filled withCotta Knights. Kirby starts in the upper portion along with one more Cotta Knight, standing in front of a largePoint Star which can be collected to grant Kirby the ability toStar Dash through the blocks to get the chest. | ||
| This room separates Kirby and the chest using threelaser beams, the first two of which emanate from the ceiling and the third from the floor.Rainbow ropes can be used to block the lasers, granting Kirby access to the chest. | ||
| A giant blueBronto Burt flies toward Kirby in this room, which takes seven hits to defeat. Once it is defeated, the chest appears in the middle. | ||
| Kirby is stuck behind ashutter in the upper-left, with the chest in the lower-right behind another shutter. Between them is a field of soft sand along with twoswitches and a marble. Rainbow rope can be used to guide the marble to the switches to activate them, freeing Kirby and allowing him to go for the chest. | ||
| This room contains thin floors where fiveSpear Cottas hold still. Kirby will need to defeat all five to make the chest appear on the uppermost floor. | ||
| This room features five background light panels in a plus-shaped arrangement in the middle of the room, with a Gray Zone partially overlapping it. The lowermost panel is already lit. Kirby will need to activate all five panels to make the treasure chest appear to the right. | This room is nearly identical to Room 4 inChallenge 14. | |
| This room features a wide circle ofBlados moving around the treasure chest in the upper-middle. A small gap in the Blado line can be passed through without issue. | This room is nearly identical to Room 2 inChallenge 14. | |
| In this room, Kirby will need to hit a Bomb Block toward the right which is holding up fiveGrindarrs. He will then need to quickly escape to the left as the Grindarrs fall, then move up and over them to the right as more Grindarrs fall from above. The treasure chest will fall alongside this upper row of Grindarrs, falling along the left wall. | ||
| This room features several decks lined with cup launchers in places. Kirby starts at the top and will need to work his way to the chest at the bottom, all the while avoiding touching the cup launchers. |
