ACatapult[Japanese title] is an object featured in theKirby series exclusively inKirby Super Star and its remake,Kirby Super Star Ultra. It resembles a metal rack which lays on the floor in various places and acts similarly to aCannon, launching any playable character who comes into contact with it in a given direction, left or right, though unlike cannons, the character in question will slowly drop in altitude until touching the ground, where they skid to a halt. When a character is standing on a catapult, they will briefly assume theirGuard pose before they are propelled forward. As they fly, they will defeat any enemies they come into contact with.
Trivia[edit]
- Catapults would also appear inThe Subspace Emissary fromSuper Smash Bros. Brawl, where they serve the same purpose, although here they do not grant the launched character temporary invincibility.
