- This article is about the Car Yarn Transformation. For other uses, seeCar (disambiguation).
| “ | Press left or right quickly to turn into a car. | ” | — Kirby's Epic Yarn instruction manual, page 9 |
TheCar is a simpletransformation thatKirby andPrince Fluff can use at will inKirby's Epic Yarn andKirby's Extra Epic Yarn. The Car transformation is equivalent todashing in most otherKirby games, and, just like said ability, is activated by pressing left or right twice in succession. When activated, two brief car horn sounds can be heard back-to-back. While in this form, Kirby and Prince Fluff are able to move faster, and make elongated leaps. The Car transformation is required for use in one ofBeadrix's minigames, as not enough time is allotted. During this transformation, if Kirby or Prince Fluff bump into a wall, an enemy, or each other, they will stop abruptly, bounce backwards from the impact while being unable to perform any actions for a brief moment, and return to their normal states.
Sleigh transformation[edit]

A variation of the Car transformation is theSleigh,[conjectural title] used only inFrosty Wheel inSnow Land. Kirby and Fluff automatically undergo this transformation while dashing from a solid surface. Unlike the Car, the Sleigh enables higher vertical jumps after curved or sloped landscape features. It can also slide over small gaps and the surface of water without falling into either. This transformation is never referred to by name inKirby's Epic Yarn, nor its official manual, website, or strategy guide. These official sources only describe the "Dash" action being performed.
Trivia[edit]
- InKirby and the Forgotten Land, there is aMouthful Mode that is similar to this Yarn Transformation: theCar Mouth.
