| “ | Yellow means CAUTION. Watch out for that stinger! | ” | — Patch Plaza description |
Buttonbees are insect-likeenemies that appear inKirby's Epic Yarn and itsNintendo 3DS port,Kirby's Extra Epic Yarn. They appear as a yellow button with two black stripes, small antennae, a pair of wings, and a silver stinger.
Buttonbees typically fly in a predetermined route, such as a large loop or straight forward, though some will attempt to stingKirby orPrince Fluff if they approach.Rolling one up yields a splitting homingyarn ball, which will split into three copies that will fly into nearby enemies.
During the final boss battle,Yin-Yarn summons a group of four Buttonbees along with fourBow Waddle Dees. Buttonbees are additionally seen inBuster's mini-games, where the objective is to eliminate several enemies in a short period of time.
