Bubbles[1] is a round, ball-shapedenemy inKirby's Adventure and its remakeKirby: Nightmare in Dream Land. It bounces around in an attempt to hitKirby. Kirby receives theBallCopy Ability whenswallowing Bubbles.

InKirby: Nightmare in Dream Land andKirby's Return to Dream Land Deluxe, Bubbles also appear in theBomb RallySub-Game. A Bubbles fills in for a Kirby opponent if it is hit by a bomb, which blasts it off-screen. Right after replacing the Kirby, the Bubbles serves the bomb to a nearby Kirby. The bombs bounce off Bubbles at the same speed they were received at, and they cannot miss hitting it.

Appearance[edit]

Bubbles is a simple blue sphere with large eyes, rosy cheeks, and a perpetual smile. TheirKirby's Adventure sprite shows them as either pink or green, whereas their alternateNightmare in Dream Land palette is purple.

Bubbles first appeared inKirby's Adventure as the main provider of theBall ability. It is not a very common enemy, and is only found in a few stages.

Kirby: Nightmare in Dream Land[edit]

InKirby: Nightmare in Dream Land, Bubbles reprises its role fromKirby's Adventure, as well as now appearing in theBomb RallySub-Game to take the spot of a Kirby that has been blasted by a bomb before.

Kirby's Return to Dream Land Deluxe[edit]

After many years of absence, Bubbles reappears inKirby's Return to Dream Land Deluxe once again in the Bomb Rally Sub-Game. Just as before, it fills the place of a previous character that has been eliminated from the game, passing the bomb to nearby opponents in their place. This appearance also marks Bubbles' first appearance in 3D.
