This article is about the small enemy which appears inKirby & The Amazing Mirror andKirby: Squeak Squad, and should not be confused withBox Boxer.

Boxin is a relatively uncommon enemy in theKirbyseries. As indicated by its name (a contracted form of the wordboxing), boxing gloves on its paws, and its fighting style; Boxin will boxKirby on sight. Unlike theBronto Burts,Blippers, andWaddle Dees, Boxins generally are not found in groups as often only a single one can be found in any given room or area in a stage. The physical traits of this enemy resemble that of a small dog or mole, though somewhat anthropomorphized to be given a bipedal stance. Wheninhaled, Boxin will empower Kirby with theFightercopy ability.

Boxin can be said to be similar in some respects to themid-bossBox Boxer, as both rely on Fighter-like techniques, though the latter uses its ears to box with instead of arms.
