Blowfish
| ||||||||||||
| ||||||||||||
Blowfish is a green, aquatic foe exclusively found in abundance onAqua Star inKirby 64: The Crystal Shards, swimming about the shallow waters. Unlike its real life counterpart, this fish will explode ifKirby comes too close, and in the situation that Kirby inhales and swallows this enemy before it has the chance to blow up, he will gain theBomb ability. If Kirby tries to hold the Blowfish above his head, it will blow up after a short time, though this explosion does not hurt Kirby.
InStage 4 ofAqua Star, a large Blowfish appears as amid-boss. Unlike smaller Blowfish, this enemy does not explode, and instead simply swims around in a circle, hurting Kirby on contact. It can be defeated after repeated attacks.
