— Description ofBlade Knight from theKirby: Triple Deluxe website

Blade Knight is anenemy in theKirby series that debuted inKirby's Adventure along with his cousinSword Knight. He is a swordsman of small stature that wears green armor with a red plume on his helmet. He attacks by swinging his sword and grantsKirby theSwordCopy Ability wheninhaled.

Physical appearance[edit]

Blade Knight wears a set of green armor with a red plume on his helmet which has a magenta face mask and a gold visor. He wears a blue belt around his body, white gloves, and brown boots. On his shoulder pauldrons, he has two gold symbols which resemble tridents.

In older games, Blade Knight wore yellow boots and had a dark blue body, though this was altered later on. The official artwork fromKirby's Adventure depicted Blade Knight with insect-like antennae without a plume. InKirby's Adventure andKirby's Pinball Land, he has two hairs on his head likeWaddle Doo.

SinceKirby's Return to Dream Land, Blade Knight is left-handed, but becomes right-handed likeSword Kirby when recruited as aFriend inKirby Star Allies. He is also seen right-handed inKirby and the Forgotten Land and itsNintendo Switch 2 Edition, andKirby Air Riders.

Kirby Super Star /Kirby Super Star Ultra[edit]

Kirby and a Blade Knight helper inKirby Super Star.

Blade Knight appears inKirby Super Star andKirby Super Star Ultra as the primary source of the Sword ability, acting much the same as in his last appearance. He can be recruited as aHelper representing said ability, whereupon he will gain all of Sword Kirby's moves and gain anInfinity Jump, with a drawback being reduced maximumhealth compared to the pink puffball.

InKirby Super Star Ultra, Blade Knight also appears as a selectable character inHelper to Hero. Sword Knight appears exclusively in the remake as well, but has been differentiated from Blade Knight in a few ways, giving him a few tricks that Blade Knight does not have. InKirby: Right Back at Ya![edit]

Main article:Blade Knight (anime character)

InKirby: Right Back at Ya!, Blade Knight is an assistant toMeta Knight, and has the same basic job asSword Knight. In the English dub, he speaks with a Scottish accent. In that dub and several others, however, Blade Knight doesn't speak as coherent as he does in the Japanese version, sometimes to the point to where he can’t be understood at all by the viewer. Despite that, the characters in the show seem to understand him perfectly fine. This happens quite possibly because of his face mask.
