Seeing how close Big Birdee and the Wee Birdees are makes me tear up...
— Daroach, inKirby Mass Attack

Big Birdee is the protective mother of theBirdees fromKirby Mass Attack. She first appears as amid-boss, but later befriendsKirby once he saves theWee Birdees.

She makes her first appearance in a cutscene ofGreen Grounds - Stage 1, where she is seen carrying a basket full ofFruit. The Kirbys unintentionally hit her due to being launched from acannon, causing her to drop the basket of Fruit that the Kirbys can then use.

She later appears atop of the trees inGreen Grounds - Stage 3, where she fights the Kirbys after they defeat the Birdees. She attacks by dropping red spiked balls at them. When she swoops, the Kirbys have a chance to fight back by latching onto her. Defeating her causes the Kirbys latching onto her to fall back down into the forest. Big Birdee then flies away.

Later on in the game, Big Birdee becomes friends with the Kirbys after they save her babies, the Wee Birdees inSandy Canyon - Stage 11. From then on, the normal Birdees also help the Kirbys.

After this point, Big Birdee makes small appearances inDedede Resort - Stage 11 andVolcano Valley - Stage 8 (the "teetering" levels) in order to assist the Kirbys by giving them a ride. Big Birdee appears again inNecro Nebula - Stage 2 to assist the Kirbys against theLady Ivy rematch by giving themFruit.
